I stayed at the Auberge de la Place Royale for four nights in May 2013 with some family (all in separate rooms). I stayed in the Jacuzzi King Suite (#202) and my other family members were in the Jacuzzi Queen Suite (#203) and Top King Suite (#302). All three of the suites were enormous (including the bathrooms) and very clean.... More

What a unpleasant experience! The reception was empty nobody to welcome you. The room had 1 place little sofa a bed and a table..very poorly decorated and in the ''forfait'' they said : Includes breakfast..Well!!! there was 2 old croissants standing on the table with 2 old apples and 2 old oranges with their stickers still on them! Then on... More

This hotel was an awesome find and a great treat for me and my boyfriend who stood there over the spring break vacation. We stood in the king sized room over looking the water and its was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom in our room didn't have a door, but all though that sounds unusual the room was divided as a... I'm shocked at some of the other reviews I've read. I've stayed at hotels and inns all over the country. Most of these have been very high priced and couldn't even compare to Auberge de la Place Royale. The room was everything it was advertised to be and then some. Great view of the park across the street; wonderful King... More

This establishment is in dire need of a complete renovation so beware! The photos are misleading. The king suite we reserved was not as advertised on the web site. There is no bathroom door! We asked to move to another king room that had a bathroom door. There wasn't one so we were told to use the bathroom in another room... More

I stayed here in January 2013. When we arrived in the evening, no one was there but they left the code on the door so that went smoothly. The room was great and it was overlooking the port which was really nice. However, the next morning when we went downstairs and spoke to the owner, the whole experience was pretty... More

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and it cost $236 CAD for two of us for two nights which included fruit and huge croissants, very nice toiletries and a huge room with queen bed and massive ensuite. Small fridge, espresso machine and little oven for heating or toasting bread etc. It is very quaint and french situated in the Old... More

The only good thing about place is its location, you can walk to all the attractions and restaurants. The service is terrible, the staff consisted of 1 lady who sat at the reception from noon to 5pm. The first day we came back to our room at 3pm and they were still dirty asked whether they missed our rooms she... More

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this hotel. The location of this Auberge was the area of Montreal that we very much enjoy, which is the Old Port section of Old Montreal, right across from the Saint Lawrence River. I booked the room for 2, which was Room 101, that had a queen bed. Upon entering the room, we were... More

Just across the river, right in the center of the Old Port section of historic Montreal, sits this lovely boutique hotel full of charm and friendliness. We parked at the King Edward parking lot, next to the Montreal Science Center, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It costed us 18,00 CA for the night. The house is old, with... More
