This is a great hotel with spacious rooms which, while older, are very function, clean and well kept. The lobby is quite nice. Wi-Fi access is available throughout. Located next to Crescent Street commuting to the VIA train station, pubs, night life, shopping, coffee and food could all be sond quite easily and by foot from this location. Friendly and... More

Location Location Location as they say. In the heart of Montreal’s shopping and club/pub area. You can walk to anything. Some of the perks I really enjoyed was…as a guest of the hotel, you get free entry into “Thursday’s” nite club. Which can be accessed from inside the hotel. One of Montreal’s hottest clubs. The lounge in the hotel is... More

Location right in the middle of downtown near many great restaurants and shopping galore. And a stones throw from the Bell Centre. Rooms were spacious and very new looking with balcony with nice view. Only problems were that you could still hear if sirens went off in the streets even from the 6th floor but only faintly and the room... More

I stayed at Hotel de la Montagne on a combined business/pleasure trip in November 2011. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite and bathroom. The suite was well equipped, with a large king-sized, comfortable bed and even included a mechanical shoe polisher and electric pants press. The hotel itself has an intimate feeling and is extremely well... More

We attended a conference in Montreal and stayed for four nights. Loved the euro-flaire of the hotel and the great service. Thursdays' which can be reached without leaving the hotel serves great martinis and their food is very good. The rooms are a bit dark, the mattress gave me a back ache (I am very picky when it comes to... More

Ugh. I wish they let me do half circles because this was a three and a half circle hotel, but I rounded up to four. There were good things and not so good things about the Hotel de la Montagne. I'll attempt to synopsize them all in the review. The location is good. It's a block up of Rue St.... More

The Hotel is not too fancy looking on the outside. The rooms are spacious with great views; the shower and mattress are A+ (generally everything else is seconday in my opinion). They had a very filling breakfast buffet - ours was included as part of our package - booked through tourisme-montreal.org. We got the second night at 50% off via... More

We stayed @ Hotel de La Montagne for 5 days. From October 13- October 17, 2011. We had an amazing vacation and a wonderful stay. If I can describe this hotel in one word, it would be LOCATION. I can not explain how perfect the location is. Everything is close by. You are at the corner of St Catherine Street... More

I travel a lot and spend quite a few nights in the major chain hotels. I took a chance and stayed at a boutique hotel that was recommended by a friend. The Hotel de la Montagne was a real gem to stay at. I had a large spacious, quiet room, large bathroom, and a balcony with chairs (poor view). The... More

This hotel has potential to e a top-notch hotel given that it is in a good location for restaurants, clubs and shopping. The bottom-line is the staff lacks the desire to please. The basic job functions like openning the door when you arrived are overlooked by a bellman being on the phone. The front desk staff did not welcome us... More
