There was no good wifi in the rooms, some chairs broken, the light of the bed was not working. Also the beddings were not very clean. The room was smelly. The music in the living room was loud all night so neither the living room was a good place to relax. People were kind but this does not compensate for the... More

I had an amazing experience staying in the HI Hostel Toronto. A great place to make new friends and interact with others besides the good localization, the hostel is in the hearth of Toronto. The courtesy and friendship of the staff are great points to take consideration. They speak portuguese, Spanish and English. They have great common areas like kitchen,... More

First of all I think it's important to say what's good about this hostel, and their are a few things: 1. Location is superb. You're close (5-10 mins walk) to the central station and most tourist attractions (and our personal favourite Yonde Street). There is also a 24 hour supermarket five mins walk away, but don't expect to find any... More

HI Toronto is one of the best. Great atmosphere, great amenities and plenty of activities to join. The reception staff are exceptional and the cleaners always cheerful. The Cavern Cafe; is a must: just chat with the manager Gwen and you'll feel right at home, all while she cooks you a delicious breakfast.

My friends and I booked one night at the HI Toronto. The hostel is well located in Downtown Toronto. The place is nice with a pool table, darts, a kitchen and a bar. Nice common areas and the staff is very friendly. We took a dorm for 6 people and it was pretty clean but also very small. There's a... More

When ever I am in Toronto for overnight stays I check myself into HI Toronto. This Hostel is a hub of activity with an nice lounge to relax inwhile surfing the internet, playing some pool or even dining in the Cavern. On this stay I was going for a Doctor's appointment so I only stayed one night but had a... More

I have stayed in several hostels before and this one was one of the most clean I've been to. The lobby was very welcoming and home-y, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the bathrooms...one of the showers on my floor was out of order and the other bathroom was very cramped and small. The hostel... More

A life long hosteller - this one leaves me unimpressed. Customer service leaves much to be desired. On a good day you will get the front desk staff (quote) ~who haven`t been here too long`. They will accommodate your reasonable requests - but let you know in no uncertain terms that you are out of line in making them. Am... More

As this is from the big Hostelling International chain, I was expecting it to be big and busy, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was in a 6 bedded female dorm, which had its own toilet and shower - very small, but I was expecting a big communal one in the corridor. The mattresses/bunk frames could do with an update... More

It was my fisrt my first hostel experience and frst time in Toronto and I stayed there only for 3 nights but it was really great! The hostel is really good located, near the Eaton Center, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, public transport, etc... During the check-in, the receptionnist Elizabeth was really cool and fun!
