This B&B provided a lovely 3-day escape after a hectic week long business trip. The house has been beautifully restored and is filled with antiques, plants and sunlight. I stayed in the Tower Room as I like having my on bathroom. The room was comfortable and quiet, the windows completely kept out the traffic noise. I often feel like a guest... More

King Edward B&B is a large old Victorian house with lots of character which has been lovingly renovated by the owner Richard over a period of over 30 years. We arrived by train - just a ten minute taxi journey from the station to King Edward which is in the university area of the city and is just a pleasant... More

I very much enjoyed my stay at the King Edward. My room ("Green room") was quiet, beautifully decorated, and the bed large and the mattress, firm. The house feels like a home and the owner, R. Gervais, is generous and ready to help one with any questions about Ottawa, tourist sites, university locations, etc. The "household" also has a delightful... More

A super B&B. Richard has lovingly restored this historic home. He is a great host, interested and friendly. Great location to walk and see the sights of downtown Ottawa. Free parking is a bonus in this prime location. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit salad, fresh croissants, homemade muffins, yogurt, mushroom cheese omelet. Very nice presentation. I had access to... More

The King Edward B & B is conveniently located in Sandy Hill near the University of Ottawa, a short walk to the Byward Market, Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill, National Gallery and Museum of Civilization. Richard is a very helpful and informative host and his non-shedding dog Sunny is friendly and well behaved. The B & B is a tastefully decorated... More

The King Edward B&B was a wonderful welcome back to my old Sandy Hill neighbourhood. Richard is a warm and attentive host and Sunny the dog makes you feel you're one of the family. The Burgundy room is beautiful and spacious -- just wish the weather had been warmer to take advantage of the great balcony. The breakfasts are plentiful... More

Richard and Sunny were amazing hosts and made sure that my stay at the Auberge was very comfortable. I was given a tour of the Auberge as soon as I arrived and in addition to my room, the Green Room, I had access to the living room area which had a fireplace. The Green Room was spacious and well furnished.... More

We unfortunately only were able to spend one night at Auberge King Edward B&B. Our host, Richard, was very gracious. He gave us a thorough orientation to the city and helped us to make wise use of our brief time in Ottawa. And at our request, he graciously shared photos from a recent exotic trip he had taken. The B&B... More

This was my first stay at the King Edward and I definitely will return and recommend. The location is ideal for those going to the University of Ottawa - literally a step away and within walking distance to the Byward Market... More
