In my years of travelling this must be one of the most difficult hotels to review. The location is stunning with a long terrace overlooking Spoleto and surrounding countryside. The building has a great deal of history and many of the communal rooms are dark with antiquities relating to its past. Because of this at times when no one was... More

overlooking spoleto and convenient to many day trips like Montefalco, Bevagna, Assisi. the site and terrace make it hard to leave. a lot of history here and much to explore in the hotel itself. the wine cellar was the cave carved into the rock by the first monk to live at this location. quite magical. one of my best meals... We could see the hotel high on the hill as we entered Monteluco! WOW. Steep winding drive so make sure you arrive during the day. From the moment we arrived we knew we had found a very spcial place. Words can not describe how old, yet wonderfully preserved this place is. We were surprised with an grade to a bigger... More

During a roundtrip in Italy we spent 2 nights in this paradise! We did not know what to expect and it is hard to describe what we felt when entering this place high up the hill in the sun, with a spectacular view over the mountains and Spoleto. After a very warm welcome by the lovely host Valeria and her... More

For myself and my group this was the most amazing place, incredible staff and delightful experience. I took a group of photographers and models to Eremo delle Grazie. It was our base over a 4 day period. It was also our workshop location for few of those days. The hospitality was a quiet joy. They were always there when you... More

We are a group of photographers and we had the opportunity to spent 4 night at the Eremo. Was a great experience, room are very comfortable and nice, the view is breath-taking and food, oh my, the food was amazing. We had our breakfast every morning on the terrace with an unbelievable view on Spoleto and the valley, we also... More

My husband and I spent three wonderful nights there in April 2008. We were the only guests - different yes, but truly a delightful experience. The staff was attentive, but not intrusive. Our room was beautiful, nicely prepared for us and always attended to. It's a "crazy" curvy drive up to the hotel but again, part of the experience. We... More

Indeed, the Eremo doesn't have air conditioning. Or TVs and mini-bars – that's the whole point. This medieval hermitage is now a cross between a private museum, family home and very upmarket b&b. If you value history and the arts, you'll think this is heaven. And the view from the terrace must be one of the best in Umbria, if... More

So good looking on their website, but what a joke. Old like a museum only with no guests, small " cells " under a hot roof with a fireplace with the previous guests burned wood, which means the rooms smelled like there has been a fire. An evening dinner where my son at the age of 5 ordered at pasta... More

On the website the Eremo appears to be a secluded romantic hideaway which makes you feel like you are entering another world. And it did not disappoint. The converted monastary sits on top of a hilltop overlooking the center of Spoleto and has a maginificent view. We initially had booked a double room, the suite was beyond our price range,... More
