A wonderful place to enjoy the ambiance of Lake Ainslie, you willl not want to leave. Dinner and breakfast is served in their dining room and is delicious. What a great balcony overlooking the lake! The hosts, Keith and Betty, will make this a special get away. Everything is there for you to escape a busy schedule. More

Right from the get go this place seemed awesome. Just the cheerfulness of Elizabeth and Keith on the phone to their professional and friendliness when we got there. On our trip to Nova Scotia each member of the family chose a bed and breakfast to stay in and this was mine because I wanted to stay in Cape Breton but... More

I was visiting Inverness for a business trip and found this B&B thanks to Tripadvisor. Had a terrific stay here in the MacPhee Room which could comfortably sleep 3 with its queen bed and a single bed. The room and bathroom were incredibly clean (plus this room had a very large jacuzzi type soaker tub). The hosts were friendly but... More

This is a large new wooden building built above Lake Ainslie and reached by a narrow rough road winding through the trees. The building is unpainted and the wood has weathered giving it the impression of being much older. Parking is at the back of the house. The front of the house facing the lake has a large veranda and... More

This was a find thanks to trip adviser, a little difficult to find but when you do well what a joy.Beautiful house, wonderful hosts, superb food and the views from the rooms are just like being transported back to Scotland. One tip, get out of bed in the middle of the night, stand on the balcony and look at the... More

Tulloch Inn is an immaculately maintained 7 year old inn on the shores of West Ainslie Lake, about 15 minutes off the Ceildh Trail in Cape Breton. The MacDougal room was perfect for our group, the views across the lake stunning, the location quietly serene, and the dinner of a mound of fresh sea scallops complimented by absolutely fresh vegetables... We didn't realize as we began our trip that the Tulloch Inn would end up being the nicest place we stayed in Nova Scotia. The bed in the McDonald room is the coziest we encountered, and the breakfast was fresh and yummy with many ingredients straight from the garden. It is located about 15 minutes off the Cabot Trail, so... More

I've actually been to the Inn three times now. The first time my family booked nearly the entire inn for all our extended family while we visited Cape Breton for my parents 50th wedding Anniversary. Elizabeth and Keith, the proprietors are so warm and friendly I felt more like I was staying with long lost relatives than at an inn.... More

I stay here whenever I work close by. This is an almost new Inn, in a beautiful setting on Lake Ainslie. The rooms are large to massive, some have fireplaces. The beds are the best quality, the rooms are tasteful. never a problem. The building uses the latest technology and is warm in winter, stays cool in summer. No noisy... More

This Bed and Breakfast would be worth a special trip to Cape Breton Is! Relatively new inn is airey, clean, beautiful and secluded. Elizabeth and Keith MacPhee, gracious and personable hosts, are, by heritage, part of the rich history of the area and it's sweet flavor. You must look them up if you do Cabot Trail. Far and away the... More
