I was a guest recently on the Fairmont Gold Floor. The staff was friendly, the views were great and Gold Floor Lounge was well appointed, comfortable and served a nice breakfast. I've been to this hotel at least 8-12 times in the last few years. It's one of the best hotels that Winnipeg has to offer. First thing you should do is get a Fairmont's Presidents Club card (free) so that wireless will be free for you.

stayed for 4 nights for business trip. Good bed facility but the room quite small.
the location is perfect with cafe and the tunnel underground. Dont be surprise to see very few people walking in downtown. People here live underground as it so cold. However nothing open on weekend. Underground walkway has all you looking for cafe, sushi, bank etc.
