i am a member at an exclusive course in vancouver. this course totally rivals my own. the greens were true and were in excellent shape. the fairways were in perfect shape. a wonderful experience overall. Afternoon winds make the course extra challenging. yhis course in B.C. would cost 2 to 3 times more to play. You manitobans are very lucky... More

This was our second and last camping/golfing trip to Oak Island. Again the golfing was great; # 1. The camping, however, was spoiled for us and so we don't think we'll be going back. Because of all the beautiful oak trees there is no grass in the campground so when it rains, it's very muddy, making it impossible to keep... More

very nice campground with its full grown trees that provide shade. BUT what we didn't enjoy was how close the campers are to one another. You have NO privacy. They could be spaced a bit further apart. Most campers in large 5th wheel campers. You have to be so careful how you park your vehicle so that no one scratches... More

This place is under new ownership, and has completely turned around from previous years. There are all new buildings and it is kept much cleaner. There is great food, full camping facilities, and the lake was great all last year. Also, opening next fall is a great looking 18 hole golf course designed by Les Furber (one of Canada's best... My wife and I camped at Oak Lake Island Resort for five days. The flies drove us out. Garbage appears to be 'stored' near the south end of the campground in big blue dumpsters and a few outdoor toilets may be still in use. The last morning we awoke to the sound of cows mooing.
