Out here on the coast in the archipelagos it’s a different lifestyle than anywhere else in Canada. First of all, it’s February, and they are golfing at Sunnydale at the foot of Mount Washington, whereas to the top of same mountain they are downhill skiing. It’s an interesting contrast to see this in February in Canada. (These aren’t diehard fanatic... More

What a strange place, not a place for the normal. I would not take my eyes off of my kids for a second. There are hazards every where, from open wells and septic pipes, non working smoke detectors to creepy owners learing at your kids and hanging outside under our window. This place is in serious need of a of... More

Wrecked RV's, boats etc scattered around the site. Dirty cabin. Broken furniture. Rude manager. Broken toys for children. Unsafe climbing set and slides for children. Battered kayaks for rent without insurance. Very limited use of dreadful laundry facilities. Excellent access to awesome beach. For the couple of buck you save by paying here and the few extra steps you have... More

Before I begin, I did not actually stay at this resort- and glad of it. As a native Islander, it is a shame to have such poor things to say about this resort. My family actually lives within 15 minutes drive of this place, and my husband and I have been looking for somewhere local to 'get away' for a... More

We arrived at Taylor's resort very excited about our 3 day weekend there with our two girls, family and friends. On arrival we were shocked to see the driveway lined with old broken cars, boats and even an old hovercraft. My girlfriend and I immediately became concerned about the safety of this place. We went up to the managers office... More

My partner and i needed to get away from the city and enjoy some quality time together without being fleeced like tourists in our own backyard. To say the least, we were provided with an affordable vacation spot for a week on a nice sandy beach on Vancouver Island. When i read some of the comment's from disgruntled grunts, i... More

The beautiful beach was the only plus. When we arrived we found a yard full of junk. This yard was supposed to be for kids to play in and that is rather frightening. There was a line of old vehicles and junk along the driveway.. There was an old rusted swing set tipped into trees along the side of the... More

We stayed at Taylors Sandy Beach Resort for a week in Mid July, 2008. Its location is simply breathtaking with excellent views across the Georgia Strait to the Coastal Range mountains. The beach itself is magnificent, and when the tide is low, you have a great playground/running field for your children. We were lucky to be upgraded when we arrived,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and would claim it is the BEST on the whole Saratoga strip. We spent five straight days (six nights) on the beach which was beautifully sandy with tidal pools for the kids to play in. We started out with three nights and extended our stay to include an additional three nights we enjoyed it so... More

Intro: My partner and I recently booked a multi-week stay at Taylor’s Sandy Beach Resort; we were planning on spending some quality time together curled up on the sofa in our 2-bedroom deluxe log cabin. Arrival: As we proceeded down Clarkson Drive, which is the main road to the resort, we became immediately concerned at what we saw, and wondered... More
