Stayed here on business for a week and had a pretty good experience. They are undergoing renovations although I'm not sure what specifically was being renovated while I was staying as there wasn't any construction noise and I couldn't see anything being done. The hotel definitely needs a makeover as it is very dated and old. The staff is great,... More

Thank you for taking time to leave us a review. We are indeed doing some updates which currently include our "Premium Lounge" in the Penthouse (7th) floor as well as planning our new front desk. I am happy to hear this did not impact your stay. We certainly look forward to seeing you again. Perhaps by then we will have... More

I spent a couple of nights at the Prince Rupert Hotel last week. The hotel is no longer part of the Coast chain and is undergoing renovations. I was happy to see that the same "very helpful" staff was still there, as I had stayed there two years prior. My corporate, work trip, rate was $98 which included a continental... More

I stayed at this tired and grim hotel when my flight was fogged in and it was all that I could get. The decor is stuck in the 80's, and the room I had was old and worn, although not dirty. The bed was also old, with a mostly dead mattress. Service was fine, but they don't have much to... More

I apologize for the delay in response. We are under new management and I understand your concern with the old decor. That is why we are now undergoing numerous updates for a transition into a hotel to be proud of. More

The hotel is about 30 years old, so was the mattress. At home I have bigger face clothes then their bath towels. Just as well they were much the same age at the mattress. One good thing is they are pet friendly and they did give a welcoming treat to my dog. More

This is a tower block and fairly centrally placed but the rooms were dull and small. We had breakfast in the attached restaurant , service good, food just ok. But if you can find Dolly's shop/restaurant we can recommend the fish and chips (it's in Cow Bay). we can also recommend Cowpuccino's for coffee and atmosphere. More

I really don't need to say much more. The staff was friendly, the rooms were great - very clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water, and good coffee for the early morning we had upon leaving. I would love to stay here again! Wish the restaurant was open later, but that's the only drawback More

Coast chain is unpredictable, in that newer hotels in larger cities may have more competition, so they upgrade more often. Prince Rupert, unfortunately, is going through some tough times, so there's not enough competition to spend the money. This Coast hotel is tired. Furniture from the 70"s and an old tube analog TV. Carpet was changed recently, but the bed... More

I thank you for your review. We are no longer a Coast Hotel and are now able to address your (and others) concerns regarding the very dated look of our Hotel. You may find us now as the Prince Rupert Hotel. Starting in late Feb 2012 we are giving the Hotel a facelift long overdue. I apologize for the extreme... More

We reserved at this hotel because of previous good experiences with Coast Hotels. I can only assume this is a "managed" hotel as this is not nearly to standard of Coast. Rooms have not been renovated since probably 1970. They have all the "required" amenities like duvets etc., but the furniture and decor are from a past era. This may... More
