Coming into Rupert, the bus currently drops off (and picks up) passengers off right in front of the Highliner. I had previously booked the hotel as well as my rental car online. Check in was effortless and I then picked up my rental car from National Car Rental which is located in the lower floor of the hotel. The room... More

Well we should have known better when check in was a nightmare. Chose the hotel as we were there for a child's swim meet. Room requested was dirty, floors not vacuumed and the tub did not drain. The baseboard heaters were not covered and rusted coils could be seen plainly. Not a room for children. Good thing mine was 9.... More

This hotel does not serve dinner as advertised. In addition, they do not have room service as advertised, which made no difference in my case, as the phone in my room did not work. One of the elevators was broken down, and the second one took 10 minutes to arrive. The heater in the room turned on every half hour... More

The highliner plaza has seen better days. It has a very tired and aged look to it. Having said that it was clean and had everything you would need for a few days stay. It was quiet enough. I can't comment on the restaurant as we walked elsewhere and it is in a good location to be able to access... More

I gave this hotel an average for a few reasons. First of all, unfortunately in Prince Rupert, you aren't going to get much better. It feels moderately safe and clean. Last time I stayed there, the drunks on the street kept me up for a long time but I was a little too freaked out to tell them to shut... More

Not much going for it, but ok for a night's stay if you are catching the early BC ferry and need somewhere to put you head. We did two nights. Breakfast portions were a good size but not included in rate. Staff in restaurant helpful and friendly (only area that seemed to be!). Only one filter coffee per day provided... More

On a budget, and easily booked on line.Bus to the front door.Big clean room where everything worked, and I found it quiet with a view from the 9th floor. Its not fancy, and is a big concrete slab but staff were good. Wireless connections were no good except in the lobby. More

I travelled to Prince Rupert on business and booked this place with some idea of where it was. It is a concrete box with no underground parking unless you are a resident of the hotel. Though it was only 15 degrees (60 farenhiet) the room was hot. The only way to cool down was to keep the window open which... More

This hotel has a 3 1/2 star rating and it should not. It should be a 1/2 star The Quarterdeck in Port Hardy has a 3 1/2 star rating and it should be a 4 star. One hotel cares the other does not. More

while some of the furniture is a bit shabby, the hotel staff more than makes staying here very pleasant. Rates were less expensive than nearby hotels, so good value indeed. For less than $90 we had a view of the harbour and found the location very convenient. It was within easy walking to the majority of sights and close to... More
