We had such a brilliant week, my partner and I. For me, I feel this may have been life-changing. It has certainly transformed my relationship to nature and has had some kind of impact on my views about life. The three magic ingredients of our week were: 1) the people at Cross River whether the entertaining, knowledgeable & charismatic Gourmet... More

Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We stayed in a heritage cabin (cowboy themed). The cabin was cosy and clean, also fairly spacious. It had a fireplace but we didn't use it because it was quite warm at the time. The only downside was that the bed wasn't very comfortable. The night we arrived, we did... More

We were not really sure what to expect but we were so impressed with the fantastic and friendly people running the place!! We had a great time doing some hikes and the drive there was very scenic so the whole experience was awesome! The food was excellent and the cabins were cozy and clean with enough space for what we... More

I had high expectations and every one was met. The cabins were great, the food was excellent even when cooked on a camping stove in the backwoods and most of all the people were interesting, genuine and great hosts. Troy and Tabitha took our family camping and hiking for 2 days and it was awesome. The river rafting was excellent... More

Cross River is an amazing place to stay. It is off the beaten path and nestled in a beautiful mountain valley. The cabins have so much character and feel so personal. They are spotless clean! I love the little pot belly stove we would light every night to keep the cabin warm. The land is spiritual and it will call... More

We spent 3 nights in late-June 2011 at the Cross River Cabins Wilderness Centre, on the fringe of Kootenay National Park. The Centre is located about 8 miles off Highway 93, north-east of Radium Hot Springs. The approach road from the main highway (Settler's Road) is a hard dirt track but don't be put off by that - our rented... More

We have been to Cross River Wilderness Centre many times over the past 10 years, and always enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of this place. The log cabins are very cozy, clean and comfortable. Each of them have a fire place and an en suite bathroom. We love sitting on the front porch admiring the view on the mountains, and... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cross River Wilderness Centre. There are a ton of trails around and your hosts (mainly Troy and Tabitha for our stay) will be more than happy to point you towards the trail that is right for you. On top of that the Brad, the resident chef, can put together some really great meals... More

This was our 4th time going out to Cross River for a yoga retreat, and each time it just keeps getting better. The food... the food is phenomenal, like eating at a high scale restaurant three times a day. Brad, their executive chef, makes you look forward to every single meal time, even when you are so very full from... More
