Have stayed here many, many times, the location just can not be beat. We always book an air suite and request one with the patio overlooking Whyte. It is fantastic people watching. My stay (a spa package) at the Metterra on Whyte in the South Strathcona district of Edmonton was fantastic... beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service, relaxing spa treatments, close proximity to shops and dining.

The Metterra Hotel on Whyte in Edmonton is a fairly nice hotel. Metterra is my absolute favourite hotel to stay at in Edmonton. It doesn't matter that there is no restaurant in the hotel - it is right in the middle of Whyte Ave with anything you could need around you. You can't beat the location of the Mett on whyte! I've stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Staff is very helpful, the hotel has a luxurious yet comfortable feel. The rooms are great, particularly loved the fireplace in the winter- very romantic!

This hotel is a great choice for the area. There is no restaurant directly in the hotel but it is surrounded by restaurants and bars which is great but can be noisy in the early morning so ask for a room away from Whyte Avenue. Its a good enough hotel - clean, helpful staff, good fitness suite, apples at the main desk, and a great location - slap bang in the centre of Whyte Ave, the most cosmopolitan street in Edmonton. Apart from the location, nothing really sets the hotel apart from others.
