The owners have done a terrific job of rolling back the clock to about 1961 and making this hotel "nifty" again. They've got a beautiful mix of mid-century furniture and design elements combined with modern features like Rundle-stone finishes in the washrooms. The rooms are comfortable for two and the restaurant has some of Banff's best food. Great view from... More

Stayed here two nights between winter and summer season (early May). Other people on tripadvisor complain that this place is super-noisy, but that must be more to do with other guests than anything else (i.e. potentially a problem in-season, but i wouldn't know). It's a 20 something minute walk or a ~$10 taxi ride from the centre of banff: there... More

I will agree with the other reviews that the rooms are good. Very good in fact. Clean and a good layout. Comfortable and the added bonus of being able to walk out to a very nice deck over looking the Banff valley corridor. Main problem was the spotty service. Restaurant service was lacklustre and I am being kind. I don't... More

Our get-away was for my husband and I for a weekend. It was a surprise. We booked 2 nights at the Juniper. We had stayed there once before. This is a very interestingly decorated hotel, with many earthy touches, stonework, beautiful artwork, and has a cozy feel. The rooms are fairly small and the bathroom is nothing special. The view... I just spent the weekend in Banff with my boyfriend and we both loved the Juniper Hotel. Our room had a spectacular panoramic view of Banff and the mountains that couldn't be beat. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub twice on Saturday night and had a great breakfast in the dining... More

The rooms were spotless......the staff was wonderful......but it was very noisy, dogs barking, babies crying and you could hear every footstep in the hallway! Sound proofing was not at the top of the list when this place was built......would I return? Yes! Just for the clean rooms alone I would return.....good job housekeeping team! (just a note: your stays should... More

I booked this hotel based on the hotel ratings here in Tripadvisor. I booked 3 days back in march 2012. We were nestled just outside of Banff, and our room had a great view of Mt. Norquay. Its not so pretty on the eyes on the outside, but once you step inside the hotel its so beautiful. Never judge a... More

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews on this site regarding this hotel. I can only put it down to the wide diversity of people who travel through a tourist town like Banff, and their differing expectations. I can state emphatically that during our recent stay at the Juniper Hotel we had only positive experiences to report. To... More

We stayed there for a weekend escape and it was really relaxing. It is only few minutes drive out of Baff city center and hidden in the Mount Norquay foothill. Great location, quite surrounding, beautiful scenery and yet still close to everything, food, shopping, hot spring, hiking trail all within 5-10 minutes driving time. Love it! More

A very Japanese feel to the room decor with gorgeous wood floors and headboards. The spa has a perfect view of Mt. Norquay. The rooms all had perfect views of Mt. Norquay. The staff was particularly helpful. More
