First impression on arrival was good all the staff we met were welcoming helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel haven't been updated for quite a while. We stayed for 9 days during Christmas in double queen room ($61/night). The room was dicently cleaned every day. Generally positive experience, put off by niggling charges for incidentals. I booked into the Homestead for a conference held at the Banff Park Lodge across the street (same ownership). Rates at $85 plus surtaxes (conference rate) were cheaper than in the main hotel. Reservation was handled quite courteously and competently. Confirmation sent by e-mail which is always nice. Good location in Banff, easy walk to Banff Avenue. Not a dance place & bathroom could use an upgrade but clean and quiet. Fridge & code maker in room. Pet friendly, extra nightly charge.
