I stayed in Casona Poblana only one night and I enjoyed the hostel and the city. The room (with bathroom) was nice and clean, the staff kind and helpful. Also the position was good, close to the city center.

The 11 bed dorm in the front of the building seems a little crowded (the most crowded of any hostel I stayed at in Mexico), especially considering there is only one bathroom shared by all those people. Stayed here one night in a 12 person dorm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was a 12 person dorm. So if that's your thing... Bed was aight. No complaints. I thought the highlight of the hostel is the roof, but nobody else seemed to be using it. 3.5 stars.
