Stayed there while doing the Cabot Trail in two days. It's ideally placed in between to do lots of hikes without the need to return to the starting point. The place is simple, but cozy and clean with fast free WiFi. The patio has a grill for the summer and the meals can be enriched with herbs from the hostel's... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this hostel on our August trip. Me, my wife and my two girls, one just turned to 3, one was only 7-month old at the time we travelled. The place was very clean, comfortable, welcoming. Dawn even prepared toys and storybooks, even a crib for my little girls. We very much appreciated. The kitchen... More

I spent two nights at the hostel in September 2012. I stayed in the four person dorm off the back kitchen. The facilities are easy to use (the kitchen cupboards are all labeled), incredibly clean, and the company was very friendly. Dawn, who manages the hostel, is welcoming, funny, and, most of all, full of good ideas of how to... More

We stayed at HI Cabot Trail for 2 nights as part of our Salty Bear Tour. We loved it - clean, welcoming and a country home feel to the place. The hostel's manager, Dawn, was helpful and extremely hospitable. Not to mention the resident hummingbirds on the back porch. Short stroll to the beach! We had a great time with... More

This place was booked ot the rafters and I was relieved we had reserved the family room a month in advance! The manager is so friendly and helpful, even in helpnig us find accommodations for other nights when the weather ruined our next night's camping plans in another region. Wold have stayed here but they were booked!

I just spent 6 nights at this place, my basecamp on the Cabot Trail. It is a terrific place to spend a night or several, located a short drive from several great hikes, a walk to a beautiful beach, whale watching and a great seafood restaurant (the rusty anchor). I was very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of Dawn,... More

The hostel has very familiar atmosphere with a very supportive staff. The bathrooms have enough space and were very clean. Apart of the dorm the general rooms were very convenient and also clean. I felt very sorry to leave that nice hostel so early.

I stayed here with my girlfriend in July 2012. Nice, clean hostel. Cooked lobster on the deck with pots and stove provided by the hostel. Quick walk to the beach and whale watching. Would definitely stay there again!

I was the only guest when I arrived. I was even the only human in the hostel : you have to call the owner and she'll be here for the Check-in a few minutes later. Another guest arrived half an hour later and the owner left the place. Then, i spent a good evening with the other guest (outside, the... More
