We injoyed our stay at Kinnitty Castle and could not have asked for more. The room we stayed un The Bernard suite was full of character and we or I should say I hoped for a sighting of one of the in house ghosts. Be cafeful what you wish for as I did experience some sort of encounter in the... more

We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't wait to leave. On arrival we were left waiting in the entrance with no one on the desk to receive us and check us in.. it was mid afternoon, so not as if we were late, and without a bell to attract anyone's attention we were left standing around uncomfortable and getting gradually... more

Just had the most relaxing two night break in kinnitty castle. What a pleasure. This hotel is nothing like your run of the mill hotels where every room is the same. We stayed in the Butler Suite which had the most amazing views. The bathroom was to die for with an amazing old style freestanding bath. The bedroom was equally... more

Steven and the team made our family stay special. The food was excellent, the staff could not do enough for us, the team made our daughter feel like she was at home and the tradition music and song in the bar was second to none. The rooms were proper castle. If you are looking for a spider or creeky door... more

After lots of winding roads around tight corners and over mountains (!!) we finally arrived at the castle and I have to say it looked so impressive in the early evening sunlight. There was a red carpet and candles on each of the steps leading into reception which was a very romantic touch. The room we stayed in was huge... more

We had been travelling most of the day, and ended up looking for a place to stay in Birr, and I saw the sign for Kinnitty, and thought it would be lovely to try it, as I have heard so many good things about it. I phoned up, and was advised that they would check if they had availability, and... more

I've only got around to writing a review now. This Castle is a truly undiscovered gem in Ireland. From the second you walk through the grand enterance to the minute you close your eyes for a nights sleep the experience is just out of this world. The staff are second to none, down to earth meets total professionalism, nothing is... more

I stayed for a night last weekend for my friend's wedding and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel itself is situated in a beautiful area next to the Slieve Bloom Mountains and in the pretty (tiny) village of Kinnitty. The building itself is impressive and the courtyard area is sheltered and had gorgeous flowers in bloom climbing up the walls.... more

I was at the hotel the last weekend in June for my friends wedding. I cant praise this hotel enough. The hotel is so impressive with regards the setting, views and the decor. Food was brilliant, this can be hard to cater for at a wedding but there was not a bad word i can say about it. Staff were so... more
