Quite a few years did passed, when I wrote the first tripadvisor review after beeing so nicely welcomed from Wegg. Now, 4 yrs later we returned and we were welcomed as we did never left! The room is still wonderful, Wegg welcomed us with a nice warm tea, and also has a wonderful Dog names Maxi living with him. Wegg... More

Had a really superb 3 night stay with Wegg and his delightful chocolate labrador Maxi. Kinloch is situated just off the main road that goes through South Uist, it is a very quiet location (next to Loch Druidibeg) so if your looking for peace and quiet this would be your heaven. Kinloch is a beautiful bed & breakfast that makes... More

Kinloch is owned and run by Wegg Kimble and he really makes you feel as if you are staying as his guest at his home. The house is comfortable and charming, Wegg is a great cook and a great host, and if you like fly fishing, it's really a very special place. Spent a long and unforgettable weekend there with... More

Kinloch is quite simply the most welcoming B&B we have ever stayed in. The host, Wegg, is an interesting character, full of information about the island and a humourous slant on local "politics". He specialises in fishing groups but extends an equally warm welcome to those of us who don't quite see the allure of sitting in a boat on... More

Wegg provides superb hospitality - we felt almost like we were invited guests at a private weekend house party. Each day we set off off after being fortified with a delicious hot breakfast featuring eggs from the hens at the end of the garden. In the late afternoon we would return to a warm welcome from Wegg and Maxi the... More

A car is handy to get around the island as buses especially on a Sunday are not regular. The local car firm-ASK cars is located near the airport and were very obliging ,helpful and reasonable. More

Wegg, the owner of this B&B, provides excellent, home-cooked (and sometimes home-grown) food. We were treated to huge quantities of local fish and seafood! Bedrooms were very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was huge. The single bedroom was very useful for us as we were traveling with our 13 year old son, who liked having his own room. Having use... We had an extremely pleasant stay with Wegg Kimbell, the chatelaine of Kinloch. He is a diligent and characterful host, producing superb breakfasts and dinners, plus packed lunches if required. A nice touch is that you can prepare your own packed lunch from the copious ingredients laid out each morning - so you can be sure it's precisely to your... More

We were spending a few days travelling around the Uists. We liked the look of the B and B at Kinloch from the web site and were not disappointed. We had a lovely private double room upstairs. It was spacious, very clean, with a lovely big ensuite bathroom. We decided to have evening meals and 'wow' the food was outstanding,... More

Just returned from a fishing trip to South Uist and with a stay at Kinloch c/o Wegg Kimbell. This was my first fishing trip in a small group of friends and I had spent some time researching my options. It was obvious from looking at Trip Advisor that Wegg would be able to cater for our needs ... we wanted... More
