Had a great stay at Glen Shiel. A return visit seven years later. Rooms with fireplace were just as I remembered and good food to match. Good value for money for a boutique hotel.

We selected this hotel on previous Trip Advisor reviews! We have just spent 3 very comfortable nights here with our adult daughter! We had rooms joined by our own entrance, and our daughter's "single" room was the same size as ours and just as comfortable! The tariffs were good considering they are on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate! AND... More

The family, that is me, my daughter, my ex wife, my grandson and my daughters partner had a fantastic time at Glenchiel. The weather was not conducive to much out doorsie stuff so we all read, played 30seconds (loudly) and drank copiuos amounts for stuff whilst playing bar/drinking game. The time spent with the owners of the hotel was special... More

Glenshiel is a place which somehow allows those who go there to exchange the cares of the world for the more important things in life. A magical setting with exquisite gardens – great for bird watching - and spacious and well equipped rooms. Although the weather (by our own choice!) did not allow us to do the canopy tours or... My extended family and I spent the Christmas long weekend at Glenshiel and had a super break. Unfortunately the weather didnt play along but it created a wonderful environment for a goup of family and friends to have an intimite retreat. The suites were spacious and yet cozy - equipped with log fireplace, aircon and flat screen TV - and... More

We wanted to treat my parents to a night at a special hotel. Glenshiel proved to be the perfect spot. The setting is magnificent - our rooms opened onto the garden and the views from the breakfast room were stunning. It was a cold night and we loved the fire places in the rooms as well as the communal areas.... More

We spent only one night during the Soccer World Cup event. We came all the way from Polokwane, quite late at night , after Mexico - France match. Luckily our team (Mexico lindo!!) won, but it was an extremely cold night, so my bf and I were freezing when we arrive to Glenshiel... and we found the warmest place! the... More

I got married here! It makes a great wedding venue but also a great place to stay if you want to explore the region. Rooms are big, clean, luxurious and charming, the people are warm and professional, the food is amazing and the grounds are full of little gems to explore, like the forest walk, the big fig tree and... We only had one night to really pig out and enjoy a night on our own. This little country hotel is magnificent and the service was outstanding. From arriving to check-out it was personal touches every where. The food was incredible, stylish and superbly presented. The manageress was on hand for any questions. This was pure indulgence by management and... More
