This hotel is the only choice for accommodation anywhere near the Faroes Airport. It is basic but fine and it was a life saver for me when my flight out of the Faroes was delayed by 30 hours. I stayed at the Hotel Streym in Torshavn from 18-22 July 2012 and was due to leave on a 3.30pm Atlantic Airways... More

I stayed here flying back from the Faroes on business. I checked in really early; about 2 pm, which they were ok with. The rooms are plain and quite spartan, but they are also clean and comfortable. The wifi is good and they have afew English tv channels. The food is expensive, but it is everywhere; but at least its... More

You need to go here prepared. Its clean, comfortable, and friendly. Definately no frills! Staff are helpful, and do most jobs like bar, front desk, restaurant. Rooms are bright and beds comfortable. Walk from the airport was on a wet, muddy track so dont go in your best shoes or expect to drag a case without it bumping around behind... More

The Hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the airport but very quiet. Free parking. Newly renovated with cosy and spacious rooms, well equiped and clean bathroom. The decor is minimal but the rooms are bright and airy. The breakfast buffet is good but with limited choise. At the restaurant (a la carte) there is very good choise of food.... More

Forget all reviews from before 2008 where this place was completely renovated. The hotel is fine - nice rooms, nice modern furnitures, bathroom a bit small. Service and attitude prefect. Breakfast included as usual in the Nordic. Fine - the usual freshly baked breads and rolls, cheeses, cold cuts, soft boiled eggs - fine and delicious but not more than... More

The hotel is a 5min walk to the airport (although if you had heavy luggage a long 5 minutes to drag it there!) and so location wise for an early morning flight you couldn't get any better. However, for the price you pay you'd expect more than what is essentially a basic room with small ensuite bathroom. The rooms are... More

This recently refurbished hotel is close to the Faroe Islands airport and so is handy when arriving or leaving the Islands. There are only a limited number of flights per day so the hotel is very quiet. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The food is very good and the staff could not be more helpful.

Stayed at this hotel on the first and last night of our week long trip on the Faroe Islands. So convenient to the airport and a base for looking around the island of Vagar. The carpark was big and level. The reception staff were efficient, neatly dressed and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were both very tasty and nicely presented.... More

I stayed here because I had an early morning flight to London. This hotel is about a ten minute walk from the airport in a small valley. You will see a prefabricated set of buildings from the airport--that's the hotel. There's no mistaking it as there is NOTHING else for at least 30 minutes drive away. There's a bar, small... More

Despite the fact that Hotel Vagar is the only hotel at Faroe's pocket sized international airport, security isn't what you'd call tight here - infact, should you be so inclined, you can stroll from the hotel to the runway without any trouble. Not that you'd want to, mind. The hotel is a grim prefab from the outside but, within, it's... More
