We spent 3 nights in this charming hotel, and we really loved it. Nice rooms, excellent service form Sabrina, lovely pool, and we discovered a perfect spot on Tulum beach thanks to the hotel's advice : Los Arrecifes! Wonderful beach, so relaxing. It was a great stay and wish we could get back next week!! Don't miss the diner at... More

I knew it was going to be too long a drive all the way to Xcalak, leaving Cancun Airport at 4:30-5:00PM. Logical stop to supply up and have dinner was Tulum. The hotel is on the very south end of town set back, away from the busy streets. Checked in just before dark and went for dinner. We came back,... More

I don't know if this hotel is the best in Tulum, but for us it was a great surprise to have such a nice place in this corner of Mexico! It's a bit of the Playa del Carmen's atmosphere in the late 90's, a place to relax, meet people and enjoy the amazing food of the restaurant. The room we... More

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2012. What an amazing place!! It is not at all what you expect when you enter the very busy, noisy and dusty centre of Tulum. It is a tranquil little oasis, all you can hear is the sound of the birds and other wildlife while you relax in your hammock.... More

My family and I stayed at the hotel in December 2011 and we had a truly wonderful time, the hotel is a little oasis. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and really all round excellent experience. Our daughters aged 12 and 10 loved playing in the pool, the rooms were nice and the garden with all the exotic plants made a pleasant... More

David and I checked into here thinking we'd stay one night, maybe two. We left six days later. Admittedly we were semi forced to stay as easter w/e meant everywhere else was booked up, but there's far worse places to be holed up! For starters, the room was a great size, with a little deck area outside, hammock and all.... More

We have spent a week in the Don Diego de la Selva in November 2011. The hotel is located in the south end of Tulum pueblo, and is more convenient for people with their own car though it iseasy to walk to the center. A series of bungallows is set in a jungle-like garden. The bungallows are nice and clean,... More

After looking at the over-expensive, mostly rough and dusty huts on the coastline, we were delighted to find this gem just off the main street at the southern end. French-run, it has a pool and bright, cool, clean rooms. Staff were hospitable and helpful, and the price includes breakfast. We enjoyed the evening meals, too. Good value. More

We had a pleasant 2-night stay in an air-conditioned room. The mattress was too hard for our liking, and the room was slightly musty (though clean), but otherwise we had no complaints. We liked the skylight in the shower, and the hammock and small but well-maintained garden. The best part for us was the restaurant, with its atmospheric thatched roof—very... More

My husband and I returned for the fourth time to Don Diego de la Selva and again were not disappointed. They always seem to find the most pleasant people to work there. Charles and Stefano are wonderful hosts and Sabrina was lovely. Leonardo prepared wonderful dinners and even responded to a special request from my husband. We look forward to... More
