The title sums it up, the place simply is dirty. My sheets were bloodstained and the staff really couldn't care less. The toilets and bathroom facilities were also gross. I also met people who had some run-ins with bed bugs during their stay. It is cheap BUT not so cheap that they cant put more effort into keeping the place... More

I stayed 2 nights at the weary traveller hostel. The best point is definitely the ambiance : easily meet tons of other backpackers from all around the world. Facilities are clean and in good state. Bedrooms and bathroom are ok. They have a private bus that takes you to and from the beach in the morning and afternoon for free... More

In comparision to other hostels I've seen the last month in Mexico, this is definitely one of the worst. The staff is not really friendly neither helpful. Shower and toilet was dirty, walls could use some fresh color. The facilities are under permanent construction, so it's noisy the whole day. And because the community is sitting right in front of... Handy hostel for Tulum, right beside the bus terminal. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the beach which is great and a good breakfast (pancakes, or eggs etc) is included. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a really good BBQ available every night (65Pesos for a burger, salad and 2 beers!!). The dorms are... More

When yu come to theWeary Traveler as a couple wanting a private room, they now tell you they have them across the street; however, they end up being 3 blocks away. Number 6 had no hot water in the shower and the A/C didn't work; not counting the fact that yu had to put up 200 pesos depeosit on your... More

This has to be the best hostel ever! Great atmosphere, clean, air conditioned. The back yard has a grill so you can cook your eggs in the morning and grill a burger in the evening. Lots of friendly people here and the atmosphere was really cool as well. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and theres a free bus... More

We moved from the Casa del Sol Hostel and stayed in a under maintained very basic private double in a separate building (no facilities) across the main road and around the corner. The room was not very nice and the building old and desolate. You have to carry your bedding including pillows and towels with you and return them at... More

This could be such a great place if the owners just invested a little more. The mattresses are really terrible with springs sticking out which make you scared to get pinched while you sleep. The bedclothes are terrible one piece thing with sheet and cover sawn together and sawn in pillow case. Very uncomfortable but I understand the benefit for... More

the longer you book to stay the cheaper it is per night. The rooms are great and there is a great big long family table where everyone hangs, cooks and drinks. you cannot bring your own alcohol into the hostel and you buy drinks by using a swipe card - so you bill gets HUGE without you realising. VERY dangerous... More

This is hostel is great for it's communal atmosphere, kitchen facilities and free extras such as water, wi-fi and a bus to the beach. It is particularly good for solo travelers. However, on our second night we suspected that the lines of bites on us were something other than mosquitoes and we soon discovered that our mattress was infested with... More
