The Piedra Escondida is a fantastic place. Literally on the beach and only a 5 min drive from the Tulum ruins. The rooms have nice balconies with comfortable chairs and a hammock. We recently spent 3 nights at Piedra Escondida based on trip advisor reviews. Overall, it was a good place and I would recommend it. we went there a few weeks ago, the place is in a nice area close to restaurants and the archeological site. After reading other reviews,I was maybe expecting more.. We would definitely go back to Tulum and to this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, people are friendly and the food is delicious. The beach is so pretty we took hundreds of pictures and it was perfect even at night, when we would relax swinging on the amaca listening to the sound of the waves... Not sure what else to add to the reviews here. Absolutely nothing remotely negative to say about the hotel itself: rooms, stuff, views etc - all brilliant. Location's probbaly worth a note: it's not on the "main" "endless" stretch of the beach, but about 5 mins walk from it. Some may see it as a disadvantage. Others, however, may see... More
