We just returned from a week at El Pez where each day was more beautiful and luxurious than the next. We were purposefully looking for a place "far from the crazies" of Cancun and the all-inclusive resorts, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. El Pez delivered our every expectation and desire. The location is perfect, close to... More

We had a wonderful time in Tulum thanks to the friendly, helpful staff at El Pez. We had a beautiful room with a perfect view of the ocean. I was not sure I could go a week without an air conditioner - but the breeze is so wonderful we actually slept under the sheet. The lobby is also very comfortable... More

I arrived at El Pez looking for a one night stay without a reservation. I was greeted by Iris, the General Manager who was efficient, well trained, friendly and welcoming. She showed me two room types available and extended a special seasonal rate. The room was comfortable with great views from a large covered terrace. Pool was refreshing. Staff was... More

The rooms are nice and comfortable, even though personnally I'm not a fan of "open" bathrooms! The staff is really very nice, they go out of their way trying to accomodate your needs. Regarding food: the menu is not really mexican! It's adapted for tourists, but really, I would much more have appreciated the real thing. Scrambled eggs "a la... More

My daughter and I were looking for a beautiful retreat and we found it at El Pez! Clean and comfortable room with a view that was out of this world! During our stay we enjoyed the beautiful sand, wildlife, and some incredible food at this hotel. But what stands out most in my mind, was the first class service. All... More

My husband and I LOVED our stay at El Pez. We spent the first half of our trip in town, which I also recommend, but when we moved down to the beach at El Pez we experienced complete serenity. Julia, Mateo and all of the staff made us feel like we were part of the family at El Pez. Our... More

but I wish that someone had told me that this hotel is not on the nice, big, white sand beach that tulum is famous for. It's close - just about 2-3 minutes walk away, but not outside your front door and when you pay that much for a room it would be nice if it were right there. The beds... More

Lovely rooms, located close to a strip of restaurants and stores, electrical outlets, breakfast included, accommodating staff, comfortable beds, all rooms are beachfront....But, the beach is completely unswimable. It is filled with rocks, seaweed, and kelp. The hotel does a very nice job of cleaning up the beach each morning, but you still can't swim in the water. The water... More

We recently returned from a great 8-day vacation at this resort. The staff and room were perfect! Mateo, Antonio, Bruno, and Ruben among others went out of their way to be polite and helpful about 20 hours per day...(don't they ever go home and stop taking care of guests??!!!!) The large rock structure near the beach makes for great walking... More

My wife and I used tripadvisor reviews to select this property and we weren't disappointed. Julia and staff (Ruben was especially friendly) were excellent. Julia brought a cooler from home and gave us some ice so we could have some cold cervezas in our room. The rooms were very clean and there was bottled water placed in the room every... More
