The location is awesome, right on the beach, so if you like to swim in the ocean this is a great spot. We found the food to be average and kind of high-priced, but we did alot of cooking in our room which saved $$. This is an older facility, and we had a couple of problems in our room;... More

We look forward all year to two weeks at Fishermen's! It is like going home..from year to year, Marcial recognizes us and welcomes us by name. Luis is always waiting to welcome everyone and in my case, has the cribbage board ready. They are all like family. The hotel itself is wonderful, always clean and so close for walking to... More

We stayed in December of '11 and absolutely loved everything about this place. From the super-friendly and helpful staff to the immaculate grounds, incredible beach, comfortable rooms, the stories of the people you meet and even the food. We opted to only do the meal plan for a couple of days b/c we really love to walk into Playa to... More

This was our first trip to Mexico and we had not formed any preconceived expectations. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and great welcomes from the bell hop and entertainment organizers...thanks Marcial and Luis!! We enjoyed our time at this resort but had trouble with the meal plan. We found it very expensive and the food was very inconsistent.... More

Fishermen's Village is in a good location if you prefer quiet. The beach & outside areas are excellent, as are the staff. The "all inclusive" was optional for us & we were glad we didn't take it. The 15 minute walk to town, to experience a different restaurant every evening were the highlights of our trip. Our condo unit was... More

How could you ask for more. This condo hotel resort is located right on the beach with all services that can be desired on a Caribbean vacation. We have spend numerous weeks at this resort and find it to be very popular as it is usually fully booked and over booked. Most guests and members book a year in advance... More

Great place to stay. Away from the crowds but close enough to walk to downtown. The all inclusive option is not worth it. Eat at the local places downtown. Pool and beach are well maintained. Give the timeshare sharks a firm NO and they will leave you alone. More

Since 2007, my wife, two boys and I have spent one or two weeks at Fisherman's every year. Simply put, we love it! The hotel is relatively small, right on a beautiful beach (one of the best in the Playa area) and is about a 10 minute walk from the start of 5th Avenue in Playa. Although the hotel is... More

My husband and i went down to Playa del Carmen for our "second honey moon" . We were not going down there with high expectations after readying the reviews, but i must say that it was beautiful. The place is small , only 60 rooms so if you are looking for something quiet this is the place for you. The... More

My wife and I went to Sunset Fisherman, We really enjoyed , If you want to stay away from traffic, people, noise, the beautiful sand and the most incredible ocean with the water so difficult to describe , and the most important part , the wonderful and friendly staff ever, where they serve you like a King and Queen in...
