If I had had a room that did not face the road, my review would be better. The hotelis nice and well located. The staff are helpful and the amenities good. However, the traffic goes pretty much all night and so without the benefit of ear plugs I don't think I would have slept at all. Pity really, because this... More

... that could make a big difference if put right. At first sight a lovely hotel with a lot of charm and definite Mexican overtones. Just what one would expect of a Mexican town hotel. Our room was on the first floor (2nd floor to the American market) and was large with 2 double beds and plenty of room. It... More

3 blocks from the main square, within easy walking distance of many attractions. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Our room was a nice size, very clean and quiet. Our friend's room was much smaller and facing the street was noisy. The doormen/bellboys gave us great ideas for how to spend our time and provided recommendations for wonderful restaurants. Would... Had the opportunity to stay at del Governor Hotel for 4 nights. The location is great. Walkable to the square. The restaurant is ok, for breakfast. Nothing special. The room was very small!!! The door hit the bed. Being that it was right next to the street it was very noisey. Buses run constantly by. Beautiful Hotel, but stay away... More

We stayed at Del Gobernador for two nights in December. It's close to the historical center of Merida and a very short walk to see the sights. The hotel itself is basic, but very clean, and the staff is warm and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious, and the much-needed air conditioner worked perfectly. We appreciated having reliable Wi-Fi... More

We stayed here on New Year's Eve and were impressed with the location and cleanliness of the property, and friendliness of the staff. Our room with two double beds was spacious with a desk, vanity outside the bathroom and a large shower stall in the bath. Check-in was very smooth and the bellman carried our overnight bag up the two... More

I have been there for two nights, I have just used the rooms, the pool, and safes that are available at the reception, so i cannot talk about the other services. I have no complains, the rooms were clean and spacious, it felt great to dive in the pool after a long day exploring the pyramids. The process of putting... More

Stayed here as part of our Yucatan tour, we had no say in the choice of hotel. Rooms were quite pleasant however, the downside was that there was no outside window, the window looked out on to the corridor so you had to keep the curtains closed or be on display the whole time. The plus side to this was... More

I chose this hotel for convenient location to center town plaza and rate. Looked ok on internet for a middle of the road hotel. Price seemed right. I booked an "Executive" room which was a bit more $$ than a standard room and on arrival, was assigned a room just barely big enough for the 2 double beds and a... More

For Pete's sake, this is Mexico. If you want a great American style room, stay in the USA. If you want a good clean, middle of the road Mexican hotel with a lot of flavor. Staff is super friendly and will try to get you whatever you need. Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely wonderful; great local food, great service,... More
