The Hotel is a old building, hacienda style. However, the lack of maintenance of it make it look cheap. It is a shame as the building is hacienda style and it would be beautiful completed restored. The room was wide but the details on it making to look so bad. The tub was and old one just cover in white... More

When you enter the hotel through the main-entrance, it looks amazing. Great Classical-Greek style, with Corinthian Columns and marble floors, a big fountain in the middle with palm trees. The restaurant is located around all that, which is great. The rooms though, are not the same. They are clean and have big windows, but could use some work. Another strange... More

The place is beatifull, but....the day we arrived was a Tuesday service was ok, kind of slow but that is the pace there, but by Thursday the place was full and the service just went bad, the people was rude, The restaurant was the worst, they are short of personnel, Bottom line, worth having a drink at the bar, but... The pictures of the hotel are deceiving. The entrance is impressive but that is where it stops. The rooms were roomy and clean but worn out and sparse. The mattresses were hard and the sheets were thin. There was one chair and one luggage rack for 3 people. The staff were friendly and very professional. It was spooky at night... More

My husband and I stayed there for a wedding in the Merida area last March. We thought this would be a great place to stay, having looked at other hotel websites. The rest seemed overpriced and this one seemed to be clean and well kept. Once we got there, we had to make a double take. Not what we had... More

The old Hotel Mision Merida was old and dilapidated so they acquired what was formerly a Hotel Calinda. When one enters the Hotel from the front entrance the sight is awesome with the plants and fountain in the solarium in the center of the hotel. The new location is a few more blocks from El Zocalo (the town plaza) but... More

I hate to give this hotel a terrible review because the staff was very corteous and professional (for the most part). However, the hotel conditions were hard to ignore. The hotel looked as if it hadn't been maintained over the years, it was somewhat creepy, especially at night. I was amazed to see so much old stuff that still worked,... More

This facility is clean and comfortable. They have a restaurant on-site, which I can not get to due to restricted mobility. I stayed at the hotel for several days. I was not within easy distance of a restaurant, so every morning I called room service for a very simple breakfast. I ordered the same item off the menu each morning,... More

This 100 years old hotel located 3 blocks from main historic plaza, although convenient, is in urgent need of remodeling. The rooms are gloomy, and the rattan furniture is worn out. The whites are old and smelly. The rates are too high for this kind of quality. There is not even an alarm clock in the room, and the key... More
