My fiancee & I stayed here for 3 nights, which ended up being 1 day too long. It is a good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Nice rooms, nice bathrooms, decent food, friendly service, they also have a small library / pool table room which is nice since besides eating, drinking, and the chichen itza light show,...

Beautiful hotel with garden, swimming pool, boutique....
Walking distance to the ruins, very convenient to go to the night show (don't forget to rent an audioguide if you don't speak spanish!).
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and professional staff.
We had a very good time, much better than expected: I was impressed!
Price for restaurant and room is fair.

I am so glad we chose Villa Arqueologica Chichen Itza to break our bus journey from Cancun to Merida. The hotel is situated about a 5 minute walk from the back gate into Chichen Itza. This is excellent for catching the evening light show. Do catch a taxi from the bus drop off point to the Villa (there seemed to...

We enjoyed our comfortable stay at the Villas Arqueologicas Chichen Itza. It was clean, safe, quiet and convenient. The pool was refreshing and it was easy to transition from pool mode to dinner mode since the room, pool, and restaurant were all in close proximity. The food in the restaurant was unique and good. The staff spoke English enough for...

5 stars for the value and charming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Good:
Property is gorgeous including the bar, courtyard and rooms. Great service. Cold beers at the bar are about $2. The food was great, some of the best we had in six cities we stayed in throughout the Yucatan. Highlights: Sopa de Lima and also the Chicken and Rice dish....

PLUS POINTS
Nice hotel with a nice pool. The bedrooms we used were sufficiently sized for their purpose (and no bigger). The shower room and wc are sized OK too. We had an evening meal there under a thatched roofed building adjacent to the pool. Nice setting and nice meal. The hotel is within walking distance to the Chichen Itza...

We returned to the Yucatan this August, repeating a family trip we made in 1994: Chichen Itza, the Puuc Route, Uxmal, Merida and then over to the beach. Returning to the Villas Arqueologicas at Chichen Itza was like coming home. Comfortable, classy, great service, terrific location (just a 5-minute walk to the ruins) and a nice little restaurant with great...

This hotel is a good value and close to the east gate of the Chichen Itza ruins so we were able to get an early start and arrived almost 2 hours before the Cancun crowds starting swarming in. The hotel is just a short walk to the ruins. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed with a complimentary cool drink...

Stayed here just a few days after staying at the Villas Arqueologicas in Coba. Nearly identical layout, pool, library, -it gave me a sense of deja vu. However, this place seemed to be better staffed than Coba, better managed, and the dining had a bit more variety.
Easy walking distance to the site at Chichen Itza. It is across the...
