I was quite happy with the Hotel Los Arcos. We stayed two nights in a lovely two-story room just off the central patio. There was a king bed downstairs, and another un-used bed in a loft upstairs. The furnishings were nice, everything about the room was comfortable. The bathroom had a typical walk-in shower with good water pressure and hot... More

Walking through Taxco at 6 am every morning was like being back in the 16th Century. I stayed at Hotel Los Arcos which is located just off the Zocalo and certainly lives up to it`s name. I stayed in room 18 with a great view of the cobbled streets, I had a queen size bed, shower stall, plenty of hot... More

I moved to this hotel after fleeing the Emilia Castillo hotel because of the noise at the front and back of that hotel . Los Arcos is slightly cheaper , much better value , it has spacious rooms , huge and comfortable beds , the building is lovely and has character and the staff welcoming . The plasma tv screens... My wife, 9 year old son and I stayed here during a two day trip to Taxco from Acapulco. I'd checked out the hotel ahead of time and it lived up to it's promises as a 17th century convent. The rooms are arranged on three or so levels around a central courtyard with many stairways and landings leading to open... More

Hotel Los Arcos is a jewel. When you walk from the traffic and heat of the street into the quiet and cool patio, you can't help but think 'woaw'. It's a beautifully restorated building. The rooms are nice and clean. Service is friendly though nothing extraordinary. The location is good. All in all, this hotel is great value. Only minus... More

A true feel for a rich, warm, Mexican Colonial experience. The multitude of special spaces will take your breath away.,...over and over. The hotel is clean and has all the charm you are looking for in a small Mexican town. Plus....a great value! More

Gorgeous hotel that provides a great respite from the constant stream of v.w. bugs that flow downtown. The interior courtyard is so lovely that we could have stayed there all day and into the night. It was a great place to enjoy the morning coffee. The guestroom was very nice too! More

Pluses: + 16th century convent, beautiful is an understatement. The terrace and hammock is heaven + friendly staff + best shower in my last 3-4 years of travel + beautiful, large rooms + staying in the courtyard/under the Jacaranda tree is a good enough if thats all you did in Taxco + Tres Leche cake 3 doors down the street... I honestly book this hotel because I read a lot of good reviews in Trip Advisor. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel, the accomodations are very rustic and has a great garden. However, when we first got in, the front desk lady didn't have our room ready; so she put us in a room which had a view... More
