Bela's is central to everything happening in San Cristobal. The hospitality was outstanding along with a lovely breakfast with excellent coffee. Bela was exceptional in providing information for special outings and tours. The rooms are very nice and everything works wonderfully. You won't be disappointed. Also there is an excellent masseuse available if you want to relax and get a... More

Bela's B & B is absolute perfection when it comes to vacation spots. I have stayed at Bela's two years in a row now and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience each time. Bela is a fabulous hostess, the accommodations are very comfortable, the food is fantastic (Manuela is the best chef!), it is centrally located, and the... More

A bit more expensive than Oaxaca. Lots of character, colonial style with garden courtyard. 5 fluffy dogs, king bed, towel warmer, water supplied, table and chair, lounge. Hot water and hair dryer and bath robes - Nice on the cold evenings. Superb breakfast.Bela is also very helpful and knowledgeable. Can have lunch for 100 pesos. Laundry 60 ps small load.... More

Bela's is where I plan on staying every time I visit San Cristobal. For starters: location! It's close to Santo Domingo, and a short walk gets you to the zocalo. I've stayed other places in SCDLC that were a similar distance away, but also had more hills and such. The route from Bela's to everything else is relatively flat, so... More

A stone’s throw away from the riotous Artisania Market and the ornate Templo Santo Domingo, Bela’s B&B is a quiet sanctuary from the bustle just outside it’s doors—yet retains the locale’s eye-catching colour and beauty on the inside. You needn’t leave this splendid site at all as the garden and its accents are enough in itself for a contemplative and... More

Have been going to Bela's for several years, She is a warm, beautiful host. If you want to explore the area she will advise and coordinate. Great comfy rooms with a wonderful staff. You can have a wonderful breakfast, get an amazing massage, and shop just a few doors over. If I could give a 10, I would. More

We recently had a great stay at Bela's. This was one of the best B&B experiences I've ever had. The accommodations were awesome. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was perfect (including the best bread I've had in Mexico). My wife reported having a superior massage on-site. The location couldn't be better--close to restaurants and nightlife, yet far enough... More

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend almost 2 weeks at Bela's with 7 other women and can not sing its praises enough. Bela is a wonderful innkeeper who was so warm and helpful during our stay. The B&B is beautiful and charming. A big plus is that it is very close to the walking streets and to the artisans... More

Bela is well- deserving of her number one status in San Cristobal and I can only echo everyone else's comments. Beautiful surroundings, lovely and comfortable room, a great location and Bela's friendly and helpful nature make this a great place to stay. We were sad to leave! More

I have just completed a wonderful vacation in Chiapas. We were traveling as a group of friends for 13 days. One of the great finds was our accommodations in San Cristobal de las Casas. This B&B was so welcoming, charming and comfortable. It had terrific rooms, too delicious breakfasts, cuddly puppies, an inspiring garden, fabulous hospitality and answers to all... More
