El Diablo y la Sandia was such a fantastic place to stay with the owner Maria just so helpful and lovely. The rooms are gorgeous and quirky and the breakfasts delicious. The location is great too and in walking distance from everything in Oaxaca. I was travelling with 3 other girlfriends and we highly recommend everyone to stay here! More

We had a wonderful stay with Maria at El Diablo y la Sandia. Our room had a comfortable king bed, was kept exceptionally clean, and there was hot water whenever we required it. Maria is charming and offers a wealth of knowledge regarding Oaxaca and the surrounding area. Make sure to follow the tips on the chalk board as to... More

We had a brilliant time at Maria's beautiful B&B - so many wonderful, thoughtful touches that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Maria took excellent care of us, from her customised map of Oaxaca city to delicious breakfasts. Will definitely be back! More

El Diablo y la Sandia was just wonderful. The place is lovely. The owner Maria, warm and wonderful, spoke perfect English and was incredibly helpful on where to go, what to do, getting us English speaking drivers etc. The location in Oaxaca is perfect, far enough from the main Zocolo but walking distance to everywhere you want to go. The... More

El Diable y la Sandis seems to be the best kept secret in Oaxaca. Maria is a fabulous host and the breakfast each morning was some of the best food we ate while on vacation. We highly recommend this beautiful establishment. More

Gorgeous place, wonderful people, and amazing Oaxacan breakfasts. Maria was extremely helpful and accommodating to anything me and my two other friends needed. There is an amazing tlayuda place across the street from the B&B and the rooftop is incredibly relaxing. If you like B&Bs, you will like this place. We felt instantly at home, while still having a very... More

A great B&B experience depends as much on who stays there as the facility. The proprietor, Maria, has paid great attention to detail and while not an elegant place, it has all the necessary comforts and when you add fun guests - memorable times happen. Sharing daily adventures, tequilas on the patio and breakfast conversation distinguish this from the more... More

We spent four days here while exploring Oaxaca. Once through the door, we were treated to a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. The location is perfect for a walking tour of the city, and Maria, the most gracious hostess, is a font of information and can help arrange for tours and other things one might want to... More

Spent two nights here, while in town for a destination wedding weekend. This was our second time in Oaxaca - the last stayed elsewhere. Well, El Diablo Y La Sandia was great. Marie runs a nice, cozy, enjoyable B&B. Its just an ice place to relax, unwind, etc. We stayed in the Luna room which was very cute and comfy.... More
