Only a block from the Zocalo, the Parador has a good variety on its menu and the food is good with decent portions. The service is very good but the staff are not very engaging. It is the first restaurant in Oaxaca that served the wine at the proper temperature as a matter of course. It is clean and comfortable.... More

I see most reviews confirm our experience but I wanted to add to it that we went to Oaxaca last year just for the Festival of the Dead - Nov. 2. And, this charming hotel was just a two short block walk to the center plaza for all the action. The festival was so much fun and colorful. The parador... More

The hotel is very nice, rooms are well furnished and well mantained. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Some of the rooms however need acoustic isolation because the noise from the street is too loud some times. But aside from this it was a very nice stay. More

We spent five nights at this centrally located small hotel. It is a half block from the zocalo. We were upgraded to a suite which made our stay just that much better. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are balconies in the second and third floor complete with lounges to relax away the day if you chose. The room... More

We spent 8 nights here. It was the perfect spot for exploring the city, within walking distance to everything. Our room was lovely and really clean and we had plenty of hot water. The restaurant was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. When we had to catch a cab at 6:15 a.m. to get to the airport, they... More

Had a one night stay there in Oaxaca on my way back from Puerto Escondido. The hotel property is nice and the location is good. However, compared to the cheaper and just as pretty B&B's which I stayed in, both in Oaxaca & Puerto Escondido, the management seemingly did not give a hoot about the quality of your stay. This... My wife and I just returned from six nights at the Parador San Miguel, and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was diligent, friendly, and hard-working. The place was very clean. The best aspects of it are its wonderful restaurant--we didn't find a better one while we were in Ciudad Oaxaca--and its terrific location only steps from the zocalo,... More

We felt the value was excellent; AC, king bed, location right in the middle of the centro (noisy but we wear earplugs and slept like babies); big shower; very helpful staff when we had questions; and the attached restaurant provided great variety and excellent Oaxacan specialties. We would also recommend the guide services of Juan Montes-Lara. We spent 4 days... More

Arrived after 5 hour trip and Reception not overly welcoming; told that breakfast was not included in the relatively expensive price. Room was very quiet, clean and sufficiently expansive albeit no coffee/tea and TV impossible to function. Interesting courtyard with birds in cages. Large somewhat hard bed but dark room brightened by plentiful lighting. Location to Cathedral and Zacola was... More

We stayed here for Muertos for 4 nights at end of Oct.-early Nov. For Mexico and for Oaxaca, this place is a bit pricey, but worth it. We asked for and got a room on the 3rd level in the back of the hotel, furthest from the st. It was quiet. We did have to ask for a fan, as... More
