I spent 2 nights in this very nice guesthouse! My room was really clean..I chose the one with private bathroom.. Ventilation, net on the windows, good wifi connection, furnitures for bathroom.. Pretty close from the center. And the surprise is the really nice terrasse. The boss gives you advices about the city and she is helpful! The shower was not... More

We are currently staying at el quijote at were welcomed with open arms by Emilio and Marta. Yes the rooms are small but you do not generally plan to be in them for that long except to sleep. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable and our sheets and towels were changed daily. It feels very safe being here and... More

We were looked after incredibly well by the couple who run this hostel. Our room was extremely basic, more so that we anticipated and the loo and shower room were across the corridor. The room was one of the last available, small and cramped, situated on the ground floor along the left passage after reception. I have the feeling there... More

We are currently staying here for a week. Its been very pleasant. Easy walking to the centro. The rooms are very clean. Shared bath is just fine with good hot water availble in the showers. Look its not the Ritz but its quiet, clean, located close to the markets. About a 10-12 minute walk to the Zocolo. The onwers are... More

We stayed 3 nights wih Emilio and Marta and would really recommend this hostel. It is very clean (blankets and towels wer replaced every day) and it is also perfectly located: just outside the noisy part of town but within 10minutes walking from the Zocalo. Emilio is really helpfull in everything.

The rooms were quaint, quiet with a fan and decent furniture. The shared bathrooms were alright, small with the showers wetting the entire room. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The terrace is nice. The location is fine with a walking time of about 10-15 minutes to the city center. The adjacent area is safe.

We loved this place. We booked a private room with bathroom, TV, and AC rather than staying in the hostel. The owners (a couple) were so friendly and welcoming. The room was cool and comfortable, nothing fancy but a good value for the price. It is nice and quiet, too. My one complaint was the 10-15 minute walk to the... More

I stayed in this hotel with my family during last eastern and in the beginning I was affraid that it was a Hostal. After I get to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised with the incredible attention from the owner to guide thru the city, a really clean hotel and bedrooms and a great location, only few blocks from the... This place was more like an upscale hostal that a hotel; if you don't mind the minimalism, it's great. Located in the slightly less desirable south-of-the-Zocalo area of Oaxaca, but less than 10 minutes safe walk to all the city sights. Very clean but very basic rooms. Tile/concrete construction plus noisy co-residents can lead to a bit of noise inside,... More

Stayed in double private ensuite room. Cute pink Mexican style. Clean. Owners were very committed and earnest and keen to help. About 5 mins walk to the Zocalo central area. Bring the balance in cash when you arrive as they don't take card.
