I only stayed here to meet up with my travel group but found this hotel to be in a convenient location to the zocalo, the room was fine, the restaurant & bar downstairs was nice to have although nothing special, it had an elevator and a friendly, helpful staff. So I was quite satisfied with it. I used the tourist... More

I went to this hotel because I wanted to be a real tourist in my own city, I hadn't enough money to afford a 5 star hotel, actually i had little money so I searched for cheap hotels and that's how I found Hotel El Salvador, it is nice and the rooms are clean, obviously, accordingly to the price, I... Good location; funny electronics street (each street in this area is devoted to some kind of technology or product: plumbing or electronics, bathroom fitting or vacuum cleaners. Kinda fun!). No good restaurants or bars at night (our beverage option - aside from manly man cantinas was to buy big beers through a barred security window at the Oxxo down the... More

i stayed in this hotel for just 1 night, i planned to go to many museums and historic monuments traveling trough the "metro" subway system, the hotel location is perfect for metro, but sourrounding areas are full of electronic stores all day, its kinda noisy, all was ok, room was clean, just enough for a 3 stars hotel, room decoration... Clean reasonably priced central hotel. We paid $430 peso per night for a double room. The street where the Hotel is located is very busy during the day and if you arrive at night the surrounding area is a bit rundown, but the Hotel entrance is a welcome gem in what first appears as a not so good area. Hotel... More

10 min walk to Palacio de bella artes, 15 min to Touristo bus, 10 min to Zocalo, and 15 min to St Juan market. Room clean and size is good enough. The perimeter around the hotel is not the best, but ones you are inside the hotel every thing change. Staff is very friendly. Reception was very helpful when it... More

The hotel lobby has been updated to have more of a modern feel but past that the property is in need of a makeover. Rooms are quite small and a little on the musty side, the shower pressure is very poor and soundproofing is non-existent. We were kept awake all night due to our ‘neighbours’ snoring and the next guests... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour, so I can't comment on prices. However, this hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient for the Zocalo and subway stations. There's a lift, Internet access, and the room was dark and quiet - ideal following a hectic day in the city. The area felt safe, and there was a 24... More

A steal--I think--for 25 USD (one person). More than comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff--ask for a map of subway system (gave me one free) which also has lots of info. about country. 3 blocks from Salto del Angel or Bellas Artes subway stops (though these stops are confusing when trying to navigate inside). Loved hotel & will choose again without... More
