My husband and I made our first stop in Mexico City on a 2-week rendezvous for an anniversary trip, and by far this is the best hospitality we've received during any of our travels. We unfortunately did not get to meet David, since he was away during the time of our stay, but we were hosted by friends of his,... More

I spent 4 nights at the Chillout Flat B&B and had a wonderful time. The B&B is really in a great location. My first night there I walked two blocks to the Palacio des Bellas Artes and saw the Ballet Foklorico and it was terrific. I liked my room. I loved the breakfasts. I really loved David Martino, the host!... More

This was the perfect place to stay with friends right in the centre of Mexico city. Enormous beds and great breakfast. Our bathroom wasn't in our room but it wasn't a problem and there are rooms with en suite. David was so helpful organising our airport transfer and advising us with our sightseeing plans. We took a bicylce taxi from... More

I have stayed in various places to sleep during the past twelve years or so, ranging from luxury hotels to modest backpacker hostels, in many different cities around the world (probably about 30 or so by now, haven't counted them really), and I hereby solemnly declare that the Chillout Flat B&B in Ciudad de México is the best of them... We stayed here for six nights in March 2012. We took cab straight from the airport for 180pesos - after David kindly emailed us the instructions before we arrived. The location is perfect for exploring Centro Historico, in a period apartment building, less than five minutes walk to Allende Metro station. David is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming,... More

David and Maria are fantastic hosts. They treated us as their guests and offered great assistance with places to visit, places to eat, and with other assistance such as directions etc... The highlights: fantastic breakfasts including Maria's yummy homemade yogurt; access to the central eating/meeting area; access to tour books; use of their desktop for email; access to tea, coffee,... Chill Out Flat as its name implies is small, quirky, and comfortable. Strong points are the convenient and secure location, wonderful breakfasts, and helpful owner. I enjoyed chatting with the other guests from varied international locations. Note: if you arrive late at night there is no signage but if you say Chill Out Flat to the guard, he will let... More

This place was run by a mother and son duo who are both super hospitable. David, the son, is an exceptional cook who cooked fantastic breakfasts everyday. We still think about your French toasts with pomegranate seeds. The rooms are simple, clean and are designed colorfully, with some nice accents of Mexican decor. Some down sides of this place was... This place is very well located to the historical centre of Mexico City. The hosts are helpful and friendly giving much information about the various sites to see and how to get to them. The place is kclean and well maintained and the breakfasts were nicely done by Liliana and William while I was there. David, the owner was also... More

I stayed in the Chillout Flat for three nights with two friends, having been tipped off by a guide book. I'm really glad I did, as this is a great place to stay. The rooms aren't luxurious per se but they are very comfortable. One of them even had its own balcony. And because it's tucked away in an apartment... More
