The room does not have a TV, This B&B is not a luxurious place, Sometimes you will not have water or electricity but... You know what.. This is the best place to stay in Guanajuato, Rick knows everything about the history of México and offers the best breakfast in town! I will back soon for sure. You will be very... More

The location of this lovely B&B can't be faulted. Situated by the Pipila monument, above the city, you have simply gorgeous views over the pretty town. There is a funicular which gets you into town within minutes if you can't face the walk down the callejon....although more likely it's back up the hill when you'll take advantage! The breakfasts are... More

Casa Zuniga overlooks the historic city of Guanajuato, Mexico. At night from the terrace the old part of the city looks like a wonderland below. The hotel is at the top of a funicular railway railway which allows easy access to the old town, as opposed to hundreds of stairs. The rooms were large, clean, and nicely furnished. The morning... We had a great stay at Casa Zuniga. It is located near the top of the funicular, so you have a fantastic view of the valley below, and can appreciate some quiet at the end of a busy day of trecking around Guanajuato. Rick and Carmen are excellent hosts. Rick shared all his knowledge and passion for the local area... More

My wife and I and a friend stayed at Casa Zuniga over the Thanksgiving weekend and I wish we could have stayed forever! Rick and Carmen are absolutely fantastic hosts and the Casa is beautiful, in a beautiful setting. Rick's passion about Guanajuato history is infectious and I would have missed an awful lot about the town without Rick's entertaining,... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Rick and Carmen's "home-away-from-home" feeling B & B. The highlights included the morning views from our balcony overlooking from the valley below where the heart of the town lay, with the sounds of this wonderful colonial town waking up as the sun rose...roosters crowing, dogs barking, cathedral bells ringing. All of this... More

It's a rare site to see a place on trip advisor with such good ratings - this place definately is worthy of excellent ratings. Rick has made the place into a really welcoming and comfortable guest house. The views over the town are to die for and (with the free tickets Rock gave us) using the funicular to get into... More

I am unable to resist returning to Casa Zuniga in Guanajuato. Some things at Casa Zuniga change while others stay the same. As for changes, it now has 9 rooms with a tenth on the way. Rick and Carmen won't have to refuse as many people because they are full. The extra people create more interesting conversation at breakfast. The... More

Initially I was bit concerened about traveling as a woman alone in Mexico. Staying at this "home away from home" , with hosts who were warm, hospitable and went way above and beyond to make my stay comfortable alleviated any concern I may have had. Within a day of my arrival I received an expertly guided tour of the city(and... More
