We didn't do a lot of research before our trip, rather just accepted our travel agent's recommendation. We visited with our two kids during the Mexican holiday weekend of November 20 and although the hotel was full, we were the only English speakers there. My wife and I stayed at Jacarandas in April 2005 with our 4 teenage daughters. We stayed in one of the many family rooms around the main pool. With two double beds and two singles this was great value for money. The hotel is a little frayed but this only adds to the charm and the grounds are an oasis...

Somewhat dingy hotel with several small swimming pools, which were very cold. The grounds were pretty, but the food was so-so and the rooms were somewhat dingy. I'd recommend staying somewhere else in Cuernavaca. There are plenty of better options.
