We liked the room layout and size. We did not like that we rarely had hot water. We stayed a few days in January 2012. The hotel staff tried to help find a room with working hot water, but could not find us one. Also note that the hotel had wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. We... More

This was our first time in Mexico and will probably be our last. The hotel was ...okay I guess but I should have heeded other reviews. The Joe's Oyster Bar is always extremely loud and the rooms are open air so if you stay here earplugs are a MUST. The wait staff was hit or miss. I would see them... More

I stayed at this property and what i liked best: 1. Close to the surfing beach. it was right down the beach only short walk 2. Joes Oyster Bar: Its a great spot for a drink and dancing at night Here are some videos: Views from my suite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzG11GuaOks Surfing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q0I9WGSlsg More Surfing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7D3IQ6WigyU Joes Oyster Bar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeaGIDU7hn0 More

this resort has the potential but we struggled with the service. when I asked where we could mail a postcard the front desk just said "don't know" and walked away. We found a post office less than a block from the resort! TVs are only in Spanish - the other resorts have Spanish and English channels. the kitchen lacked things... More

When we are in Mazatlan, one of our favourite initiatives is to walk along the Malecon. We stay in Old Town and walk north along the Malecon to the Ramada. It's our favourite morning task which allows to remain somewhat fit. We love to make our "reward" a stop at the Ramada Ocean Front Restaurant. It's always well staffed and... More

This resort used to be El Sabalos. It has been remodeled and freshened. The staff are helpful and friendly and the waiters at the pool are around but not hounding you constantly. Friends waited for us for two hours without being hasseled about having a different hotel band. Not so at their hotel ( El Cid Castilla). Waiters there were... More

Helpful staff and a good time during Carnival. Well positioned for beach and town with a lot of hawkers parading up and down the beach. Joe's Oyster bar is a fun place. A bit worn so it needs an overhaul to get it to decent international standards. More

We got a deal at 60$US a night and at this price, I think it was worth it. Rooms are usually 100$+ and at this price, I think there are better deals around. The room was very clean, but lamps and alarm clock were broken. There was no hot water for two nights. The pool was clean and amazing. Beach... More

I visited this resort in 1997 and wasn't disappointed when I returned this year. I had great memories of the room, the lobby, the pool, the beach and the service. My experience this time did not fail any memory. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, the lobby was clean and quiet (and the best place to... More

Staff and facility were fantastic. the beach area was great with a remarkable staff to take care of you while basking in the sun. we had a double room and was enough room for the 4 of us. had 2 teenage boys and they throughly enjoyed themselves. we were within walking distance of convenient stores and lots of eating establishments....
