Stayed in Feb of 2010. Hotel was super clean and most fantastic location if you want to be in Mexico and not the tourist zone. Balconies have the most awesome view of the ocean and sunset. Street right below the balcony, but only noise at night was the waves crashing on the beach that we could hear through our OPEN... More

Stayed 6 nights this past week and am I glad I chose La Siesta. First off, this is not a 5 star, luxury hotel...if that is what you are expecting then you should look elsewhere. If what you are looking for is a good basic, clean room in a great part of town then you can't go wrong with this... More

This is an older hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. Don't be put off by the it 's age though, the rooms are clean and the rate through Air Canada vacations was $31 Cdn per night. The restaurant, El Shrimp Bucket, provides shrimp that my shrimp-loving husband adored. The service was friendly and although the staff speak English, they were willing... More

La Siesta doesn't pretend to be a fancy, expensive hotel. It does give you great value in all the basics. If you want a high priced concierge to book your tours and hold your hand, go elsewhere, there are plenty of good hotels in Mazatlan, but be prepared to spend one to several hundred dollars a night. If you are... More

We stayed at La Siesta and throughly enjoyed our time! With an ocean view and friendly staff, you couldn't ask for more. The room was nice, but just the basics. Make sure to bring a hair dryer if you need it, there wasn't one provided. It is also located in an excellent area of Historic Zone; you're walking distance from... More

A great place to stay, we were never in the hotel but enjoyed some nights on the balcony, a few dollars more for a balcony view was worth it. The traffic and noise in the evenings was busy. It was hot for us so we slept with the A/C on but eventually got sick when got home to Canada. The... More

We've stayed two nights here at the la Siesta Hotel. We were immediately impressed by the friendly and very helpful staff who carried our heavy bags up to our third floor room with a genuine smile. The Hotel is very well maintained and has a classical wonderful old world feel. We always feel welcome with kids in mexico and especially... More

This was technically my second time to Mazatlan, the first was on a cruise ship but we were tired that day so we stayed at the market place next to the cruise ship area, we didn't go into town. We also traveled during spring break, so we were a little leery of being bombarded by drunken college kids (we're 30....... More
