I just came back from Acapulco and a week at Playa Suites (2/10-2/17/07). The pictures are somewhat deceiving since the Towers are old and the renovations (if any) were terrible. We were there on time share and had a "suite", consisting of a bedroom with 2 full beds and a "sitting area". The only TV was in the bedroom and... More

I stayed at the Playa Suites in Febraury 2007 and it was an absolute disgrace. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND ALL OF MEXICO IN GENERAL. The good weather is not worth the risk of getting KILLED! The hotel staff was rude and unhospitable. The accomodations were old, wrecked, torn, broken or missing. The pool is small and not clean.... More

Just returned from a one week stay. Hotel is in dire need of upgrading and repair. Mold and mildew common. Suites have small fridge, a sink but no microwave. There is a shortage of wash cloths. Cable TV "under repair" for last three years? Only three local spanish stations viewable. Electricity totally shuts off when you leave your room thus... More

My family and I stayed at this hotel the second week of August 2006. We arrived at 10pm and the receptionist refused to send up someone to install a crib for my 8 month old nephew. He was forced to sleep in an adult bed on our first night there. Secondly, the AC in my room had a leak. They... More

If you're going for the food, I must say I didn't have a bad meal there. A little spicey at times, but the same goes for all the food we had elsewhere, except of course the delicious, fresh, sweet as sugar fruit. The room was ok. I liked the firm mattress, my wife didn't. There was a constant musty, basement... More

We enjoyed the aspect of spring break, because it was a place to pass out. The toilet overflowed, the shower curtain fell, and the ceiling in the hallway fell down! It wasn't the best hotel, but it made for some awesome stories! More

Ok, first, If you check the forums, I've said the same thing, but a small note. These are NOT Las Vegas, Chicago, or NY, or Paris Hotels. They are not gonna be extravagently decorated and every nook and crannie spotless. Be realistic and get over it. As far as the Playa goes, I LOVED THIS HOTEL. It is a great... More

We have been staying at the Playa Suites for over 10 years. Was very surprised this year with some of the renovations that have been done since last year. The new entrance is very unattractive and difficult if you have a problem walking. The restuarant has new furniture although plastic. The restuarant staff is still very friendly, especially Fillipe who... More

I went to Playa Suites for my spring break, which my travel agent told me that there would be young people at the resort. Boy was she wrong, my girlfriend and I were the only ones that were in our 20's. The age literally started at 50+ and ALL Italian. Since they were all Italian, we had pasta all 8... More
