Monterey, they have a clean Airport better than average taxis, so for us Americans we can get around down there. This hotel is a nice hotel I have stayed there for 5 years it is in the central part of the city. The service is excellent the people are friendly and English speaking. OMG the bed in room 577 is... Loved the location downtown. We were there for a wedding (not at the hotel) and although we arrived very late, we were greeted very warmly. Our Starwood Preferred got us an upgrade without asking for it. It was a huge corner room. There were no robes and there was a cost for the bottled water, but the valet parking was... More

I stayed here to attend a wedding held in the hotel. Location is very good, and the hotel is clearly one of those great but old hotels. Rooms are in need of renovation, in special bathrooms. Overall, price per value is actually a good hotel to stay if you go to Monterrey.

I've stayed at the Sheridan Ambassador annually for 8+ years. It is a solid hotel and it kept clean overall. Staff does a great job accommodating and even with communication, I speak little Spanish. I've seen slight room improvements over the years such as tv upgrades however the beds, furnishings, carpet, etc have not changed. They are clean yet out... More

I have been travelling to Monterrey for over twelve years and this hotel is my favorite by far. It has the feeling of the grand old hotels with beautiful leaded glass as you enter. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located downtown close to many restaurants, pubs and shopping.... More

Not my type of hotel. I got a suite and the furniture was very aged. The lighting was basically ornate desk lamps. I'm sure it's comforatable if you're over 65 but not for me. I didn't like the fact that there was no mini bar and i had to pay for water and internet either.

the hotel is very old, and hasn't got much maintenance, some things just don't work properly, like some of the showers (they get clogged), or the internet connection, which sometimes get very slow or you get disconnected often, I ordered room service and there was a small stone in my soup, and when you complain about something the staff often... I got a smoking room though i never request one. Hotel was booked so I had no choice. Asked for housekeeping to spray out the smell which was like death upon exiting the elevator. Gladly, we were changed to better room for next 2 nights. Also, the AC leaked heavily from ceiling to soak the floor. I heard it splatter... More
