We stayed here for 6 nights.Loved the location, right on the beach. Rooms were clean & comfortable.Pool was lovely,and we had it to ourselves most days. Nice view from room to the pool. Resort clean, staff helpful. Breakfast adequate. Good location for the bars/restaurants in Ao- Nang. This is a resort that we would definitely return to. More

When you read hotel descriptions that say "right on the beach" you usually think they are exaggerating - well, not in this case. We had an Executive Pavilion room which looked directly out on to the beach. Superb room, excellent staff, one complaint.......breakfast was not good. Fried eggs "over easy" just didn't happen. We booked an Executive Pavilion and wer happy with it. This was our second time at the Golden Beach , we booked a specific room through a local rep in August 2011 when we arrived we told our room had been allocated to someone else and in order to get a similar room we had to change rooms 3 times in 4 days. Just returned from this resort which is ideally situated for the beach etc. Just a few gripes - arrived after staying for 3 nights in Bangkok & looking forward to unpacking & settling in.
