I was lucky enough to be invited shooting near Washingborough Hall and we all met up the night before at the hotel. We had an excellent supper, which ended reasonably late without complaint and the staff were genuinely charming and helpful. Have not stayed in the hotel but recently went there for lunch on my wife's birthday, the food was excellent and when the sweets arrived my wife's plate was decorated with the words "happy birthday" written on it also two hearts had been drawn and filled with a raspberry sauce. A very comfortable and welcoming small hotel. Our room looked out onto the front garden and was light and airy. The bathroom was vast and our lovely Spring Sunday morning was atmospheric with the church bells ringing next door. The restaurant was popular and food a very high standard. More
