Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night last summer and have been wanting to go back since. We stay in a lot of hotels all over the place - we travel alot - but this remains one of favourite places. We stayed in a room within the out building which was lovely! it was very clean and peacefull.... More

My feelings on Sturmer Hall are mixed because as the venue for my brother's wedding it was wonderful but for somewhere, far from London, that was offering me accomodation for £125 a night as a "bargain" price, it was not really worth the money. I don't think it is unreasonable when you are paying £125 a night for a room,... More

Absolutely amazing time, top class hotel with a difference, Daniiel the owner made us so welcome, we stayed for over a week in beautiful rooms, a roaring fire in the lounge and great food. Caring staff that became friends, I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful setting and surroundings. Good size, comfy room that was well equipped. Complimentary wine was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the room we had in one of the 'out buildings' was poorly insulated , and unless you enjoy listening to your neighbour's TV when you are trying to sleep, I would give this a miss. We spent a night there after... More

Came here to one of the events and was greeted to the view of a lovely house set in fantastic grounds. We had a drink in the main house and there was an open log fire, just the thing for a cold night. service was very good and drinks arrived in no time. The show was held in the marque... More

Superb setting for a wedding. Picture book pretty little church for the ceremony, lovely Hall with sloped lawn in front making for a wonderful backdrop for the photos. Very well equiped semi permanent marquee style building for the catering. Pity the catering did not live up to the promiss of the surroundings. The staff were all lovely and very hardworking... More

The venue is stunning, the facilities are modern yet fit well with the history of the building.Daniel (owner)and Tina the events manager have a team of well trained staff who delivered canopes, main meal and evening buffet on time and without fuss. The food was of excellent quality and well liked by all of the guests. The drinks at the bar are... More

been to a couple of events, xmas do and a wedding......not good value for money, drinks are expensive, and the food is really not the quality you expect for the price...as for the owner...he comes across as a very smug money grabber. Nice location but there are better quality places nearby for the same cost.

This place is an unusual and very effective cross between a hotel and a B&B. The main building is small enough that it feels like being in a largeish house and contains the public rooms and some guest rooms. The lounge is accessed straight through the front door in ancient "hall" style, with wood panelling and fireplace. This and the... More
