We stayed in the 'Glas' cottage which is a 1 bed studio room on the top floor. On arrival we were extremely impressed with the presentation of our room, it was cosy and had all of the facilities we needed for our 3 night stay. We loved that we had out own log burner in our room with a bucket... More

These comments relate to the 'Glas' studio. Unfortunatley the bad points far outweighed the good points during our stay. The Good - The studio was well equipped, cosy & decorated nicely. Ample parking & nice location. The Bad - The wooden steps up to the studio & the balcony were very slippy as it had been raining. We both fell... More

What a work and care has gone into these old cottages. Beautifully renovated with an eye for detail and a romantic result. Tiny kitchen but oke if you don't stay for long. Living room felt very cosy. The mixed feelings are mainly due to the attitude The 3 of us stayed in "Arian". This cottage has twin beds. An extra... More

We are on our way to Ireland by car and decided to spend a few nights in Wales prior to catching the ferry. Our first 2 nights were spent in Glas studio which was very comfortable, cosy and sufficient for our needs. We spent the day in the Brecon Beacons which was only a short drive from the cottages. The... More

My husband and I stayed here for a week in the Melyn cottage. We loved it, the cottage was cozy, cute and functional. The animals are lovely and made friends with the cats! We didnt mind the cobwebs, mud or peace, as coming from the city there isnt much of any. The kitchen was fully operational, everything you need for... More

My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom cottage from Monday to Sunday. It was a very cosy and compact cottage - nice touch the underfloor heating. Could definitely have done with a good clean and dust before we arrived. Both of us were pretty exhausted due to work commitments and were hoping for that much deserved lie-in in... More

We've now stayed in 'Arian' and 'Melyn', two in the collection of terraced cottages. Both were very nicely presented, great value and conveniently functional. The surrounding area is a bit of a mixed bag, the cottage grounds are very nice, the village (Cwmbach) and the nearest town (Aberdare) are rough round the edges, and the larger area is beautifully picturesque.... It was dark, wet, very windy and stormy when we arrived. The narrow steep slope leading to the cottages was dangerous to drive and to walk along, especially in the weather we encountered. The place was deserted. We bumped into a neighbor who told us he was not involved with the running of cottages and the owner was out of... More
