Welcomed cuppa and cakes on arrival. House well appointed. Room had lovely view and was comfortable. Good food: evening meal, breakfast & tasty cake for packed lunch. Karen filled us in on the local 'colour', but were the only people staying and the house felt rather empty. Church opposite well worth a visit.

We stayed while doing the 3 Castles hike and were delighted with it! Paul was so helpful in getting us started on our hike and picking us up, plus he was a fountain of information that we'd have been lost without. Karen's meals were superb and her packed lunches perfect. And their place was a most charming spot. If we... More

The Old Rectory has very nice rooms with great views. The hosts are very hospitable. We were walking on Offa's dyke path. They took us to the next pub for free and they helped us with everything. It was a nice experience to stay here in those beautiful surroundings.

On arrival we received a friendly welcome from Karen, who served us homemade ginger cake and tea in the lounge. We stayed for 3 nights in the lovely old rectory and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and cosy with a fantastic view from the window. The Old Rectory is situated next to the old church... More

Recently cruising the Mon & Brec Canal through awful weather, moored at Bridge and as my husband was feeling the onset of flu I walked down the hill to the Old rectory at lunch time, explained my husband was not feeling good so they gave me to go, a superb homemade sweet potato and garlic soup with fresh rolls and... Walking Offa’s Dyke with my family, six adults in total, we had booked B & B’s along the way and by far the most outstanding one was The Old Rectory at Llangattock-Lingoed. Run by Karen and Paul Bell they have done a staggeringly wonderful job of converting it to a B & B. We had three rooms between us, two... More

After a long days hike on Offa's Dyke, we arrived at an exceptional B&B - The Old Rectory - with an exceptional host - Karen. She's originally from the ares and she and her husband bought the old rectory and conveted it to a B&B. What an outstanding job they've done! The grounds, driveways, lawns, shrubery, flowers .. all done... More

Whether you are walking Offa's Dyke (the location could not be more convenient), or enjoying the beauty of the Welsh countryside this is an ideal stopover which is both convenient and comfortable. The Rectory has fantastic views, an expansive (beautifully kept) garden, and a sense of the past in the style and furnishing as the old rectory. The welcome is... More

We stayed in Llangattock Lingoed at the Old Rectory as this was the mid point to a 3 day walk along Offas Dyke. Our hosts Karen and Paul were fantastic. From the spotlessly clean barn to the taxi service to and from villages and the local knowledge and information from Paul, our stay was truly enjoyable. Paul and Karen have... More
