Great hotel/inn in a beautiful area of Wales. Super friendly and accommodating staff that are really happy to go the extra mile. Good food, warm ambience, very comfortable and stylish rooms. Special mention to Steve for late night bar service with a smile and a story. Excellent value for money and really warm service, e.g. left my phone charger in... More

Good location in that it is within easy driving distance of the Wye Valley,Brecon Beacons etc. Raglan also boasts an impressive ruined castle. The hotel is however quite ordinary. Rooms are small and need up dating. Beds are small and rather uncomfortable. The food is quite good although the service could be improved. Beware - the bar closes early. More

We chose the Beaufort Arms, Raglan, for an 80th birthday celebration in April 2012. As our family is dispersed around the country, we wanted a venue that could not only offer a quality dining experience, but also accommodation for our guests (including the rather elderly birthday boy). As the Beaufort Arms ticked both of these boxes, we also decided that... More

My Husband and I chose this hotel as we checked the reviews and liked what we saw and it was very close to Raglan Castle. The hotel itself is very attractive and on arrival the reception staff were very welcoming. Our room was lovely, bright and clean and had everything we needed. We had drinks in the bar before dinner,... More

The owners/managers clearly have great aspirations for their restaurant however their efforts are let down by the below average fayre which emerges from their kitchen. They are trying to be all things to everyone and are probably afraid to commit to a higher standard of cuisine. They may be right with The Hardwicke and Walnut Tree in close proximity the... More

Rooms can best be described as quaint - if you like1970s style. Pleasant staff and good in-house restaurant. Expensive compared to other local hotels More

Visted last Sunday over Easter, the new restaurant wing although pleasant has none of the character of the old Restuarant / bar area. The food which is reasonably priced (circa £15 for a main course) is of a very good basic level. We were a party of 12 including 6 adults and there were no dissapointments with any of our... More

Stayed for the second time recently and would happily go back. It's a nice pub with good beer and a very cosy bar, it's also a restaurant which is popular and v busy both times I've been there and then it's an hotel. Last time I stayed I was in Room One which is fresh and modern - not huge... More

Charming blend of traditional with modern twist. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff with a lovely breakfast offering choices beyond the traditional. We did not eat here but the dinner menu did look good. We had a room in the external block and while it was on the small side it was perfectly comfortable. More

We had stayed here before & enjoyed our stay so returned. I had made the booking over the phone & didn't have confirmation in writing. When we arrived they only had us in for 1 night (luckily they could fit us in the 2nd night) & even though we had booked dinner bed & breakfast there was no reservation for... More
