In May we went to Maho for our third visit and would gladly return. The staff is great and the beaches and snorkeling are amazing. While snorkeling we saw many sea turtles, a nurse shark, a manta ray and countless beautiful fish by the coral. Our tent cottage was at the end of the point between big and little Maho... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Maho, from March 31 through April 11, and we enjoyed it as much as we did the first time we visited in January of 1992. I think that bring our total number of stays to five. We are both seasoned campers, and consider Maho to be luxury camping! You are virutally staying in... More

This property is suffering from lack of repair and staff interest. Apparently Maho Bay Camps is on the block to be sold and the current operator isn't willing to invest in it. The setting is beautiful. The other visitors are friendly and willing to share their memories of a better time. The food in the restaurant was awful and expensive.... More

Everything was awesome except by the fourth night we were experiencing so many bug bites we couldn't sleep from all the itching. I have never had bed bugs before, but I think that is what we got. Two days after getting back, I am still scratching all night. terrible. More

It was my first time there and I don't have anything really bad to say. The people working there are really friendly and helpful and services offered are plenty. As many before me noted, the first thing you notice that there're A LOT of stairs. I estimate that from the beach all the way to the top there're probably 200... More

Maho Bay is a very unusual place to take a vacation. I guess the best judge of a vacation is, do you want to go back again? And I most certainly would, but I'd be savvier next time. Before I forget to mention it, get signed up on their email list before you book, as they will often send you... More

My family has now stayed at Maho several times and we've all come away each time with the very best memories of all our trips together. Many stairs to negotiate, shared bathrooms, no hot water, bugs (though we've never experienced many) and all the potential downsides of tent-cabin camping have never been any more than just a part of the... My daughter and I stayed one night in tent A01. The view is beautiful and convenient to the beach. Spent the day snorkeling in little maho bay and big maho bay where we saw many sea turtles and starfish. Ate all meals in the pavilion and enjoyed the food. When we return we would probably try to reserve a cabin... More

Our 4th time at Maho was one of the best but may be the last. This unique eco-camp is currently booking through June 2013 and may be closing after that due to lease issues. Now is the time to enjoy Maho again! If you don't mind stairs (lots of them), carrying your drinking water and luggage, and entertaining yourself, Maho... More

Just returned from 5 days at Maho Bay with my wife and four kids and we had an amazing time! The cabins were a little worn but comfortable and well equipped (we are seasoned campers, so we aren't too picky). The staff was very friendly and helpful without exception. The food was great - not cheap, but nothing on St.... More
