I stayed at Alecias, for 3 weeks in June 2010. My first impression of the Hotel was the staff, they were courteous, polite and extremely helpful. Thank you all for your kindness shown towards me. The rooms were air conditioned and cleaned daily, as was the hotel it self. The swimming pool area was very relaxing and cleaned daily as... More

My spouse & I are frequent visitors to Alicia's GuestHouse. Every stay there has been wonderful, staff excellent, food wonderful and cleanliness top of the line. Well this one is a great shocker this place is no longer in existence due to new management policies.Staff members remains the same but the new Chinese workers are "stink".These chinese workers are nasty... Our family stayed here from 7/16/08-7/20/08 and we hated this place. Although it was recommended by someone who had lived in Trinidad. Everything was horrible from the unfriendly staff (except the lady at the front desk), to the moldy rooms. When we got there the staff completely ignored us (it's like they didn't want us in their guesthouse). We felt... More

Upon arriving I was greeted by lots of stares as though I'd just stepped off a spaceship or something. The staff was cold and unwelcoming and the woman who took me to my room seemed bothered by my presence. The room was nothing like I thought it would be--very tiny. Beware of hotels that don't show photos of their rooms.... More

We chose Alicia's because some friends had stayed there and appreciated the proximity to the Botanical Gardens. We arrived fairly late, after 8 pm. The staff was courteous and put us in a room that was clean. There were some lumps in the bed that felt like the sheets hadn't been properly smoothed, but when I went to fix it... More

I arrived late in the evening, tired from hours travelling, and was not concentrating when the receptionist advised me that she would have to swipe my credit card again as it had not worked. Little did i realise that me credit card details were being copied. Within the next 36hours £5000 worth of fraud was put onto my card. The... More

For Trip Advisor We at Alicia's House most strongly object to the conclusions drawn by Trip Advisor member who posted an account of her experience under "Creidt Card Fraud" August 22 2007. It has been our experience that on many occasions a card has to be swiped twice before it could be read by the machine. This certainly does not... More

We stayed at Alicia's House in July. The staff at this hotel are amazing people. Keisha & the girls at the front desk were wonderful and assisted us greatly during our stay. Breakfast is included in the price and the food was excellent. They also have free internet access. The hotel itself is old and we stayed in a room... More

Hi TripAdvisor, My husband and I stayed at Alicia's House from January 9 to January 22, 2007. Our stay at Alicia's House was great. It is a small hotel, but the ambience and the service were both wonderful. The front receptionist was courteous and greeted us with a friendly smile and did everthing to ensure that we were comfortable and... More

Trinidad doesn't really do tourism so the hotels are pretty basic. Alicia's was clean and cheap but nothing to remember. Booking the rooms seemed to be quite a chore. Swimming pool is clean but cold, jacuzzi is a disgusting milky colour, breakfast is good but deathly slow, and the milk is condensed (ask for skim). Residential area so restaurants and... More
